All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ________________________________________________ CHARLES ALBERT RINKER BUSH Charles Albert Rinker Bush, who resided with his brother-in-law and half-sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Lape of 828 Mount Vernon Avenue, Huntingdon, passed away Monday, July 25, 1955, at 11:05 p.m. in the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. He had been in failing health for three years, and had entered the hospital on July 23. The deceased was born October 23, 1896, in Huntingdon County, a son of Frank and Mary (Marlin) Rinker. He was the adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Bush of Huntingdon, R.D.1. He was united in marriage to Hazel Greene, who survives, in 1917 at Huntingdon. For a number of years he operated the Bush farm, Huntingdon, R.D.1, and then he formed his own company, the Charles A. Bush Company, which was engaged in the striping and painting of airport runways. He retired because of his failing health three years ago. The deceased was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Huntingdon Moose lodge. One daughter, Mrs. Myer (June) Lomazzo of Westport, Connecticut, survives. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Walter (Ethel) Zackarias of Canton, Ohio, and these half-sisters and half-brothers: Mrs. John (Nora) Lape of Smithfield; Mrs. Jay (Flora) Thompson of Heightstown, New Jersey; Mrs. Orin (Gertrude) Brown and Chalmer Rinker of Jamesburg, New Jersey; Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Cisney of Derby, Kansas; Mrs. Chester (Gladys) McGahan of New York City; Philip Rinker of Altoona; Mrs. Victor (Pauline) Breslin of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Charles (Martha) Gill of New Brunswick, New Jersey; and Mrs. Stanley (Hilda) Wills of Roselle Park, New Jersey. In addition, he is survived by his step-mother, Mrs. Minnie Rinker of Huntingdon, and one foster brother, Frank Bush of Huntingdon, R.D. 1. One brother, three sisters and one half-sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, at 2 p.m. in the Brown funeral home in Huntingdon. The Rev. Rollin Taylor, pastor of the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church in Huntingdon, will officiate and interment will be made in the Aucker Cemetery at Hawn's Bridge, Juniata Township. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Wednesday until the hour of services.
