All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ________________________________________________ SILAS BUSH Silas Bush, a lifelong resident of Juniata Township, died in Huntingdon, Tuesday evening, November 1, 1927, at 5:30 o'clock, after an illness of two weeks, aged 67 years, 1 month and 26 days. He was born September 5, 1860, and was a son of Augustus and Catherine Bush. He was united in marriage with Miss Jennie Parks, who survives. He was, for many years, a member of the Reformed Church. Mr. Bush was one of the progressive farmers of our county and has always been known as a man of excellent character and integrity. He was a friend and neighbor, not only to those who lived near his home, but also to many others all over Huntingdon county. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Frank, and adopted sons Charles and William, also the following brothers and sisters. Valentine, of Hesston, Christ, of Huntingdon, Mrs. A. L. David, of Mill Creek, Mrs. A. M. Kelly, of Huntingdon, Rudolph Bush, of Waterstreet, and Mrs. John Heifner, of Kingsley, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Episcopal Church of Juniata Township, Friday, November 4, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E. Z. Utts. Interment at the Acker cemetery of Hawns Bridge.
