M. shabodeho@aol.com November 17, 2010, 1:55 pm Huntingdon Daily News 1/11/1940 Noah Carbaugh, of Hummel, died Wednesday, January 10, 1940, at 1:00 a.m., of internal complications. He was a son of John and Mary (Smith) Carbaugh, and was born in Hopewell township, Huntingdon county, on April 15, 1880. At the time of death, he was aged 59 years, eight months and twenty-five days. On February 4, 1904, he married Elizabeth Lynn, who survives along with the following children: Mrs. H. S. Taylor, of Showville, Pa.; Mrs. John Garner,of Marklesburg; Mrs. Allen Isett, of Marklesburg; Archie Carbaugh, of Entriken. Five brothers, James, Wilmer John Carbaugh, all of Hummel; George Carbaugh, of Saxton, and Earnest Carbaugh, of Waterside, and two sisters. and two sisters, Mrs. Clayton Brumbaugh, of Duquesne and Mrs. William Allison, of Saxton, also survive. Mr. Carbaugh was a highly respected citizen of the community. His Christian character and honesty had won for him a wide circle of friends. He was a member of the Reformed Church. Funeral services will be held in the Evangelical and Reformed church at Hummel, on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. Charles Huyette will officiate.
