CLAUDE W. CARPER

Of Spruce Creek, died at 10.15 p.m. yesterday of a heart attack. He was 
born Nov. 23, 1905 at Pemmerington, a son of Philip and Lola (Waite) 
Carper. In Oct. 19, 1934, he married Anne Rollman in Alexandria, who 
survives along with the following children, Joseph, Ronald, Romaine, 
and Bonnie, all at home; brothers and sisters, Blair of Baltimore, Mrs. 
Mary Hite of State College, Mrs. Lenore Gillegan and John of 
Pennsylvania Furnace. He was a member of the Spruce Creek Methodist 
Church and for the past five years was employed as a caretaker for the 
Pennsylvania Highway Dept. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Friday 
at the Johnson Funeral Home, Tyrone.
