Cheslock, 95, of Maddensville Pike, Orbisonia, went to be with the Lord at 11:35 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Fulton Co. Medical Center, McConnellsburg. Funeral service was held on Saturday, January 17 at the Martin Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Rev. Fr. Joseph Orr officiating. Interment was made at the I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace. He was born June 6, 1913 at Gallitzin and he was the son of the late Charles J. and Ethel (Saunders) Cheslock. He was married to the former M. Hancock on August 30, 1941 at Hookstown. Mrs. Cheslock survives at their home. Mr. Cheslock is also survived by two children, David Cheslock and wife, Donna of Chambersburg and Ellen Cheslock of Maddensville Pike, Orbisonia; one granddaughter, Rebecca Reisher of Upper Strasburg and one great-granddaughter, Brandi Reisher. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Mazzocco and Irene Oyler and one brother George who died in infancy. Mr. Cheslock was a member of the Orbisonia United Methodist Church. He was a life member of Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Rockhill Furnace. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1938 with bachelor's degree in forestry. During his life he was employed by the PA Dept. of Forests & Waters; the PA Glass Sand Co.; Matthews Conveyor Corp., Ellwood City, as a draftsman and for many years by PennDot as a construction engineer and a roadside engineer. Mr. Cheslock was a veteran of World War II serving as a U.S. Army War photographer. The Valley Log, Orbisonia, Pa., January 21, 2009
