CISNEY Mrs. Nannie May Cisney of Shade Gap, R.D., died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hester Hampton, Wednesday, February 4, 1959, at 12:45 a.m. She had been in failing health for the past six years. She was born April 12, 1870, at Blairs Mills, R.D., Tell Township, a daughter of Henry and Matilda (Briggs) Flood. She was united in marriage to Charles Washington Cisney of Tell Township who preceded her in death in 1942. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Hester E. Hampton, Shade Gap, R.D.; James N. Cisney, Blairs Mills, R.D.; Mrs. Mirble (Grace) Parson, Blairs Mills, R.D.; Brady C. Cisney, Blairs Mills, R.D.; Clyde H. Cisney, Blairs Mills, R.D.; Mrs. W.J. (Alfaretta) Walters, Shade Gap, and Foster J. Cisney, McConnellsburg and three step-children, Mrs. Harvey (Beulah) Wiser of Blairs Mills, Mrs. Harold (Sarah) Swan of Alexandria and Budd Cisney of Port Royal. One son, Chalmer, preceded her in death, along with one step-son John. There are 32 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 21 step-grandchildren, and 32 step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers Loy Flood of Florida and Chalmer Flood of Blairs Mills and one sister, Mrs. Rosie Parson of Blairs Mills. She was a member of the Salem EUB Church of Tell Township. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, at 2 p.m. from the Salem EUB Church. The Rev. Anson Slick, pastor of the church, and the Rev. James McMinn of the Shade Gap Methodist Charge, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Salem Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ott funeral home at Orbisonia from 7 p.m. Thursday until noon on Saturday and then at the church until the time for the services. clipping Additional Comments: Charles died in 1944, not 1942.
