LOCAL ITEMS IN BRIEF.

George W. Conrad, proprietor of the Girard House, Huntingdon, died 
suddenly yesterday.  Deceased was born in the Lebanon Valley over 73 
years ago, and had resided in Huntingdon county since 1858.  He leaves 
a wife and seven children.
