Mr. John Coy, a well-known farmer of Brady township, this county, died suddenly on Monday, while driving from Mill Creek to his home. He had taken a load of railroad ties to Mill Creek and disposed of them to B. R. Foust & Son. While engaged in unloading the ties he complained to some person near him of not feeling well, but completed his work, and started on his way home shortly after noon. The belief is that he became suddenly stricken with heart disease, and fell off the sled to the ground a corpse, near the residence of Mr. Amos Smucker, where the body was found. His horses continued some distance on the road toward home, but missing the guiding hand of their late master, they turned about and returned to the spot where he lay cold in death. Mr. Coy was aged about 75 years, and was highly respected by all who knew him.
