Crouse, 72, of 7487 Smith Road, Chambersburg, died at 6:15 PM Friday, February 9, in Manor Care Health Services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James R. O'Brien at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 15, in Corpus Christi Church. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:45 p.m., in Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 33 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. He was born November 20, 1934 in Shade Valley, PA, he was a son of the late David P. and Marie Laird Crouse. Mr. Crouse is survived by his wife, Mary L. Reilly Crouse, whom he married June 12, 1954; two sons, Donald P. Crouse and wife Ilene of Chambersburg and Steven A. Crouse of Orrstown; a daughter, Catherine L. Swartz of Shippensburg, seven grandchildren, and six great- grandchildren He is also survived by two sisters, Adeline DeVecchis of Lewistown and Betty Arnold of Mapleton; a brother, Gerald Crouse and wife Ann of Shade Valley, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Christopher E. in 1982 and Andrew D. in 2005, an infant granddaughter, three brothers, and two sisters. Mr. Crouse was employed as a truck driver with Ward Trucking in Greenvillage, retiring after 35 years with the company. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chambersburg, Durff-Kuhn Post 6168 and the Hub City Club, both in Shippensburg.
