Crownover of Manor Hill, Huntingdon county, died yesterday morning at 7 o'clock at his home. Mr. Crownover was one of Huntingdon county's oldest and best known residents. He had not been sick, getting up as usual yesterday morning and partaking of his breakfast. Soon after he was stricken and passed away. He was the father of Captain Howard A. Crownover of the ordnance department of the United States army. The son had been at home on a furlough and had just returned to his post on Sunday evening. He was born March 27, 1839, and had been engaged in business for many years. He is survived by three children, Mrs. C. H. Hennen of Manor Hill, Captain Crownover, who before entering the army was purchasing agent of the Penn Central Light & Power company in this city, and Mrs. F. R. Postlewaite, residing in the Maxwell apartments, this city. Captain Crownover was in Altoona on Saturday and went from her to his father's home.
