Funeral services were held recently at Neffs Mills for Samuel E. Croyle, who 
died Friday, February 5, at the age of 76 years. Mr. Croyle was born in 
Huntingdon county, December 6, 1856 and was a son of Samuel and Rebecca 
Croyle.  He was married to Miss Laura Powell and to this union were born two 
sons, Dr. R.W. Croyle, a practicing physician in Ohio and Marshall C. Croyle, 
a student at Juniata College.
Also surviving are two grandchildren and two brothers, Reuben and Calvin 
Croyle of Long Beach, California.
By occupation, Mr. Croyle was a farmer.  He had been an active member of the 
Methodist Episcopal church at Neffs Mills for many years, and for the past 
twenty-four years held the office of trustee.
