Davis, resident of Spruce Creek, R. D., for 25 years, died Saturday evening at 6:55 o'clock at Philipsburg State Hospital following an illness of eight years. Born December 28, 1855 at Fairbrook, Pa., he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Davis. His wife, Mrs. Margaret (Myers) Davis, is deceased. Members of the family include these children: Mrs. Carrie Wert of Spruce Creek, R.D.; Mrs. Anna Brandt of McConnellsburg, Pa.; Mrs. Edna Diehl and Mrs. Helen Brobst of Allentown, Pa.; Mrs. Emma Stonebraker of Tyrone, Pa.; Mrs. Don Goss of Pittsburgh, Pa.; C. S. of Altoona; T. A. of Spruce Creek, William E. of Allentown; R. K. of Milroy and B. F., Jr. of Bellefonte, Pa.; and a sister, Mrs. Emma Needler of Altoona. Mr. Davis was a retired lumberman and a member of the Gatesburg Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark, conducted by Reverend Albertus Groendyk, pastor of the Graysville Presbyterian Church. Interment in Meek's Cemetery. The body may be viewed at the Cox Funeral Home from noon today until time of service.
