DeVRIES.

  George H. DeVries died at his home, 121 Mifflin street, on Sunday, 
November 10th at 4.15 p.m. from the effects of Spanish influenza, which 
later developed into diphtheria.  Deceased was the son of Dr. H. J. and 
Bertha Roberts DeVries, and was born January 30, 1907, at Gighton, 
Kansas, being aged 11 years, 9 months and 10 days.  He was a member of 
the Fifteenth Street Methodist church and Sunday school.  He is 
survived by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.  The funeral 
took place on Monday at 4 p.m., conducted by the Rev. M. L. Brady, with 
interment in Riverview cemetery.
