Diggins died at her home in Broad Top City Friday morning, January 5, 1940, at 6:30 o'clock. She had fallen Nov. 27, 1939, and fractured a hip which was the contributing cause of her death. She was the daughter of Robison and Mary (Black) H. Horton and was born at Waterfall, Fulton County, August 22, 1874. She was united in marriage withAnthony C. Diggins, of Broad Top city, at that place Nov. 26, 1874. He preceded her in death April, 1929. Mrs. Diggins has resided in Broad Top City since her marriage. She was devoted to her family and was known by many for her hospitality. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Houck, of Broad Top City; also seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Friends may call at Green's Funeral Home in Three Springs any time until Sunday before noon, January 7, when the body will be taken to the Church of God, Broad Top City, where it will lie in state from 12 o'clock until 2:00 p.m., when services will be held in charge of the Rev. Gerald Marzolf and Rev. Adam Sommers. Interment in Broad Top City Cemetery, directed by Green's Funeral Service.
