Miss Mary Dowling, the last member of the family of Richard Dowling, dec'd., 
died at her farm, in Juniata township, on the 2d inst., within two months and
a few days of having reached the patriarchal age of ninety years.  She was the
sister of Mr. Wm. Dowling, well-known to many of our readers, who died a few
years ago at an advanced age.  The Dowlings were among the earliest settlers
in this section, and the name is prominently mentioned in U. J. Jones' history
of the Juniata Valley.
