DOWNS

  Mrs. Katharine B. Downs, wife of R. J. Downs, died in Philadelphia, 
on Sunday, Oct. 20, from the effects of Spanish influenza.  The remains 
were shipped to Mount Union on Monday following and taken in charge by 
Undertaker Barben, and transferred to the home of her mother in 
Shirleysburg, where services were conducted and interment made.  
Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cambridge J. Sharrah.  She is 
survived by her husband, mother, two sisters, and one brother: Miss 
Mary, a trained nurse; Mrs. Jesse Brumbaugh, both of Philadelphia, and 
John Sharrah, of Bellwood.
