Dubbs, age 85, of Pennington Road, Warriors Mark, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 3:35 p.m. at Homewood Retirement Center, Martinsburg. She was born June 19, 1920 in Tyrone, the daughter of Franklin and Elizabeth May Reader Oakwood. On June 10, 1949 at Milesburg she was married to Allen L. Dubbs who preceded her in death September 3, 1981. She is survived by two daughters, Betsy, wife of Steve Barndt of Port Matilda and Diane, wife of Allen Hunter of Warriors Mark; five grandchildren: Allen Hunter III, Thomas Hunter, Jason Hunter, Nicholas Barndt and Chantelle Barndt and one great- grandchild, Travis Hunter. Also surviving are a sister and a brother: Amber Walizer and Ernest Oakwood, both of Warriors Mark. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Tyrone High School class of 1938. At one time she had been employed as a clerk at Gardner's Candies. She was an avid bird feeder and enjoyed her cats. Funeral service for Ruby R. Dubbs will be Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Robert Dunkelberger officiating. Interment will follow in Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Paws, 1042 Benner Pike, State College, Pa. 16802.
