On Thursday morning, Mrs. Clayton Fetterhoff, of Warrior's Mark, was cleaning and putting in order the yard at the rear of her home. She had gathered a large amount of rubbish together and burned the same. When in the act of raking the loose pieces lying around the edge of the burned debris, her skirts caught on fire and in an instant, she was a mass of flames. Her daughters heard her call for help, and they rushed to her assistance. One carried a pail of water while the other used a blanket. By the time the flames were extinguished, Mrs. Fetterhoff had been fatally burned all over the body. The accident occurred at 11:30 Thursday morning and she suffered excruciating pains until Thursday evening at 6:40 o'clock, when she passed into eternal life. Mrs. Annie Mary Fetterhoff was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Shirk and was born near Centre Hall fifty years ago last February. Twenty-six years ago in January she was united in marriage to Clayton H. Fetterhoff at Huntingdon, and had resided in this vicinity ever since. She was a most sincere Christian woman and a devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Warrior's Mark. In the home she was an ideal wife and mother and held in high esteem in the entire community. Surviving to mourn her death is her loving husband and two daughters, Misses Carrie and Ruth, both at home. She is also survived by three sisters namely: Mrs. Elizabeth Decker and Mrs. Ella Gentzel of Centre Hall, and Mrs. William Kearns of Oak Hall. Funeral services were held at the home in Warrior's Mark on Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Edward Kebock. Interment at Warrior's Mark.
