DEATH OF CHARLES FLOOD

  Charles Flood, a resident of Blairs Mills, died at the Johns Hopkins Hospital,
at Baltimore, Md., on Thursday evening, September 5, following an operation. He
was the son of Henry Flood and Matilda Briggs Flood, both deceased, and was born
at Blairs Mills. He was aged 52 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maude
Kent Flood, and six children. He is also survived by the following brothers and
sisters: J.D. Flood, Chalmers Flood, Chester Flood, Mrs. Nanny Cisney, Mrs.
Roselle Parsons (Should read Rosie), Miss Ivy Flood (Iva), Burdette Flood, all
of Blairs Mills, Mrs. Flora Grey (Gray) of Waterloo, Warren Flood of Petersburg
and Loy Flood, somewhere in the west. He was of the United Brethren faith.
  Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 o'clock in the Salem United Brethren
Church at Blairs Mills. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining.

Additional Comments:
Children living at his death were Ralph Henry, Ross Beale, Charles Miller,
Lauren Ellsworth, Glenn Dale, and Evelyn Grace. Children who preceded him were
Ellen Elizabeth 1918-1919 and Lena May 1926-1926.
