C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born June 30, 1930, in Wells Township, Fulton County, he was a son of the late Thomas and Meta Mae (Keith) Ford. He was united in marriage to the former Betty Jane Hallibaugh Jan. 12, 1956. Mrs. Ford survives at their home. Mr. Ford is also survived by two brothers and a sister, Earl Ford, Three Springs, R.R.; Jerold Ford, Saltillo; and Betty St. Clair, Mesa, Ariz. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Deforrest, Ellis, Oliver and Delbert Ford, and Grace Domeier and Althea Hoffman. Mr. Ford was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Shade Gap, R.R., and more recently attended the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of the Saltillo Lions Club, where he received a 50- year award. He also belonged to the Shade Gap Lions Club, Orbisonia- Rockhill Fire Co. and the Shade Gap Fire Co. He was also a member and past master of Cromwell Lodge No. 572, F&AM, Orbisonia; Harrisburg Consistory, Jaffa Shrine and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Mr. Ford previously served as a member of the board of directors of the First National Bank of Mapleton, Mellon Bank and the advisory board of Fulton County National Bank and Trust Co., McConnellsburg. Mr. Ford owned and operated Ford's Exxon, Shade Gap, for 24 years, retiring in 1977. He then worked as manager of the Dollar General store, Orbisonia, for several years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing and bowling. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Pastor Michael Purnell and Pastor Darrell Nicklow officiating. Interment will be made in IOOF Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace.
