M. shabodeho@aol.com October 23, 2010, 8:44 pm Daily News, Huntingdon 3/23/1935 Annie C. Fuoss Annie Catherine Fuoss, daughter of the late Jacob and Anna K. Fuoss, died at her home, 1003 Lincoln avenue, Tyrone, Friday morning at 7:20 o'clock. She had been in failing health for a considerable time. She was born in Huntingdon, Pa., April 2, 1860, moving from there to Birmingham April 1, 1875, still later taking up her residence at what is now known as Fuoss Mill, west of Tyrone. She resided there until 1816, when she removed to Tyrone, where she has since lived. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Tyrone, being identified with the Sunday school, Women's Home and Foreign Missionary Society as also the Bible class taught by Mrs. Sarah Lowrie. She was a woman of quiet and unassuming manner, kindly of disposition and sincerely interested in these about her. She bore her illness with remarkable fortitude, and will be remembered by those those knew her best as a beautiful Christian character. She is survived by five brothers, William Fuoss, Tyrone, Jacob and George Fuoss, Fuoss Mill; Leonard Fuoss, Turner, Kansas; and John Fuoss, of Bellwood. Eleven nephews and two nieces also survive. Funeral services will held from her late home, Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of her pastor, Rev. Joseph A. Speer, D.
