Gabert, 85, of 147 S Shaver Street, Mount Union passed away at 7:55 a.m. on Friday February 16, at her home. She had been in failing health. The funeral service was held or Monday, February 19, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union. Officiating was Pastor Jim Hullihen and interment was made in the Haven Rest Memorial Park Shirleysburg. She was born November 25 1921, in Mount Union, a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Flood) Locke. She married Boyd L. "Hector" Gabert on September 28, 1946. He died on June 21 1986. Mrs. Gabert is survived by one daughter: Deborah Ann Gabert of Mount Union, one granddaughter Amy Jo Martin and husband Ryan, of Three Springs and one great-grandson: Hunter Martin. Also one brother is surviving: Glenn Locke of Mount Union. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Sharon "Sue" (Gabert) White, on May 19, 2001 and two sisters: Elma McClain and Naomi Mowery. Mrs. Garbet graduated from Mount Union High School in 1941. She was formerly employed by Harbison Walker Refractories as a secretary and Weis Market, both of Mount Union. Mrs. Garbet was a member of the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, Hill Valley.
