M. shabodeho@aol.com March 4, 2011, 11:09 pm Huntingdon Daily Times 1/6/1940 Thomas Gahagan, a former resident of Spruce Creek and Alexandria, passed away at his late home near McClure, Snyder county, early this Saturday morning, January 6, 1940, at 12:15 o'clock. He had been in failing health for the past seven years, and had been confined to his bed for the past three months. At the time of death, he was aged 59 years, 12 months and 18 days. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Starr) Gahagan; six daughters and two sons: Mrs. Orville Henney, of Huntingdon; Mrs. Wilbur Shields, of Ardenheim; Mrs. Ethel Houck, of R. D. 2, Huntingdon; Mrs. Edna Neiman, of Lewistown; Miss Viola Gahagan, of Huntingdon; Miss Margaret Gahagan, Roy Gahagan and Samuel Gahagan, all at home. He is also survived by one brother and two sisters: Walter Gahagan, of Burnham; Anna Gahagan and Susan Gahagan, both of Milroy. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. The body was removed to the Fretz funeral home in Lewistown. Interment will be made in Mt. Rock cemetery at Lewistown.
