Gallagher Guy Adonald Gallagher, 86, of Tamarack Drive, Denver, Penna. died at 8:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at the Denver Nursing Home, Denver, Penna. Funeral services were held Jan. 21 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Pastor Gene L. Wilkins of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Denver, officiated. Interment was made in Fair Ridge Cemetery, RD Shade Gap. Born Jan. 20, 1915, in Burnt Cabins, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late Denton Blair and Francis Naomi (Mills) Gallagher. He was married to Catherine (Mills) Gallagher on Sept. 27, 1935. Mrs. Gallagher survives at their home in Denver. He is survived by one son and one daughter, Alfred K. Gallagher of Denver and Beverly Jean Best of Keene, N.H., five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Gallagher is also survived by one sister, Nanci (Nannie) Hess of Shade Gap. One brother, Albert, and two sisters, Grace Houck and Marie Downes, preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Broomall, and a former member of the Path Valley Lions Club and the IOOF Lodge in Fort Littleton. In his early years, he had operated a trucking business. From 1954 until 1966, Mr. Gallagher owned and operated Gallaghers Motel at the Willow Hill Exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
