All the years of his life were spent in the valley in which he was born, with the exception of three and one-half years he served in the war of the rebellion. Deceased was one of a family of eleven children, all of whom preceded him to the grave, as did his wife, also, over twenty-two years ago. Three of his own children have passed to the other side. Five children survive to mourn their loss: Andrew, of Barnesboro; Dorsey, of Mahaffey; Mrs. Irwin Switzer, of Sinking Valley; Mrs. John Gill, of Philipsburg, and Miss Ella, at home. With his wife, Mr. Ganoe united with the Presbyterian church in Warriorsmark about thirty-five years ago, and both continued in that relation until their death. Mr. Ganoe was stricken with paralysis three years ago last June, and remained a helpless invalid until released from his suffering. The funeral services were held from his late home in Warriorsmark, Tuesday, March 8, at 1 o'clock, the Rev. E. M. Aller, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, officiating. Interment in Warriorsmark cemetery.
