(Elba) Garner, the oldest conductor in years of service on the Huntingdon and Broad Top railroad, died at his home at the corner of Seventh and Moore streets on Tuesday afternoon at 3:20 after an illness of the past six weeks from pneumonia and typhoid fever. Mr. Garner was one of Huntingdon's solid, progressive citizens, also a member of the Lutheran church, and had many friends who will miss him. He was aged about fifty. His is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jane Garner, a daughter of Judge Harris Richardson of Aitch. They have been without children. He is also survived by these brothers and sisters Philip Garner, of Syracuse, N.Y.; Edward and William Garner of near Marklesburg; Miss Anna, of Chicago; Mrs. Addison Waite and Miss Margaret Garner, of Marklesburg. Funeral services will be held at the residence on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock, after which the cortege will leave for Marklesburg where further services will be held in the Lutheran church, followed by interment in the Old Stone church cemetery.
