MARY JANE GARNER Mrs. Mary Jane Garner died at her home at the corner of Seventh and Moore streets on Sunday morning at 6:30 after an illness of one week with typhoid fever and pneumonia. Mrs. Garner was the daughter of Judge Harris and Mrs. Sarah Richardson and was born in Lincoln township on April 16, 1866. She was united in marriage to L. B. Garner about twenty-nine years ago. They lived for a while at Saxton, later at Everett and for the past fifteen years in Huntingdon, Mr. Garner being an almost lifelong employe of the Huntingdon and Broad Top railroad, first on the track but receiving successive promotions until he became the oldest passenger conductor on the road. Mrs. Garner with her husband was a faithful member of the Lutheran church. She is survived by her aged parents residing on the homestead near Marklesburg station and by these brothers and sisters: Susan, at home; Martha, wife of Ellsworth Deil, of Marklesburg station; Isabel, wife of David Frederick, of Sinking Valley; Catherine, wife of Henry Boyer, of Penn township; Margaret, wife of George Emeigh, of Altoona; Ida, wife of Thomas Gosnell, of Marklesburg station; John, of Akron, Ohio and Isaiah, of Lincoln township. Short funeral services will be held at the residence on Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in charge of Rev. F. R. Wagner, and upon arrival of the cortege at Marklesburg Lutheran church, further services will be held. Interment will be in the cemetery of the old Lutheran Stone Church beside her husband, who died on the same day one week before and was buried on Friday.
