Phillip Garner, aged about 27 years, died at his home, Thirteenth and Washington streets, on Monday evening at 7:30 o'clock, after an illness of four weeks with typhoid fever. Until the time of his illness he was a clerk in the Huntingdon post office. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Garner, of Brumbaugh, who survive him. He is also survived by his wife, who was Miss Harriet Norris, of Huntingdon, and three sons - Elwood, Merle and Thomas, the eldest being but 5 years of age, and by three brothers and two sisters - Mrs. Peter Cornelius, and Ernest, of Grafton; Blair, of Huntingdon; and Bessie and Lewis, at home. He was a member of the Reformed church in this place and leaves many warm friends to mourn his untimely death. Short services were held at his late home on Thursday afternoon, at 1 o'clock, after which the cortege left for Grafton, where further services were held in the White church with interment in the churchyard.
