Adrian A. Gartland

  Adrian Arthur Gartland, 94, formerly of Three Springs, died at 6:45 
a.m., Sunday, April 6, at the Golden Living-Hillview Nursing Home, 
Altoona.
  Private funeral services were on Wednesday, April 9, at the Martin R. 
Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Rev. David Ford officiating. 
Interment was made in Cherry Grove Cemetery, RD, Three Springs.
  He was born on January 12, 1914 in Akron, Ohio, and he was the son of 
the late Raymond E. and Edna (Alexander) Gartland. He was married to 
Blanche E. Harencane on October 23, 1935. Mrs. Gartland preceded in 
death on August 23, 1997.
  Mr. Gartland is survived by two daughters; Jennie Lee Ramsey and 
Susan M. Hall, both of Three Springs and a son, Thomas N. Gartland of 
Salt Springs, Florida. He is survived by 15 grandchildren, 44 great 
grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
  Also surviving are two sisters; JoElla Smith, McVeytown, and 
Elizabeth Guthrie, Tennessee and a brother, Terry Gartland of Mount 
Union.
  A daughter, Linda L. Watkins; a granddaughter, Paula Hall Yohn and an 
infant great grandson are deceased.
  Two sisters; Freda Gartland and Eileen Varner and three brothers, 
Raymond O., Duane and Donny Gartland are also deceased.
  Mr. Gartland had been a lifelong farmer.
