Goodman died at his home, 1008 Warm Springs avenue, at 11:10 Sunday night after a three weeks' illness from fever. Mr. Goodman was a son of David and Elizabeth Goodman and was born near Warriorsmark on April 7, 1857. Raised on a farm, he followed the occupation of farming for a number of years, but later engaged in lumbering and carpentering. He was united in marriage to Dorothy K. Harnish, a daughter of Samuel and Dorothy Harnish, thirty-nine years ago. They moved from the vicinity of Water Street to Huntingdon fourteen years ago. For the past five years he was forester for the Harbison-Walker company and attended to their holdings in various places. He is survived by his wife, three sons and one daughter, Samuel H. Goodman, Ross E. Goodman, both of Huntingdon, Clarence L. Goodman and Mary Goodman, both at home. He also leaves two brothers and five sisters. They are Levi Goodman, of near Philadelphia; Thomas Goodman, of Water Street; Mrs. Daniel Chamberlain, Mrs. Diller Buck, both of Warriorsmark; Mrs. John H. Hutchison, of Alexandria; Mrs. Hayes Schirm, of Hartslog valley, and Mrs. Ross Hileman, of McCook, Neb. The funeral was held from the residence on Wednesday afternoon, services being conducted by the Rev. D. E. Master, with interment in Shaffersville cemetery.
