Goshorn, 89, of Neelyton Road, Neelyton, died at ;12:05 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 5, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Pastor Dan Fox officiating. Interment was made at Salem Cemetery, RD, Blairs Mills. He was born May 27, 1918 at Shade Gap, he was the son of the late Wilbert & Hannah (Vaughn) Goshorn. He was married to the former Thelma Hope Kling on November 26, 1939. Mrs. Goshorn survives at Menno Haven Nursing Home, Chambersburg. Mr. Goshorn is also survived by: four daughters: Louise Brumbaugh and husband, Kenneth of Shippensburg; Jeanie Jarrell of Findley Lake, NY; Margaret Kough and her husband, Robert of Huntingdon; JoAnn Goshorn of Mechanicsburg and one son-in-law Evan Ballard of Sauquoit, NY. Nine grandchildren: Lucinda Parson, Melinda Fawks; Cynthia Miller; Kristina Brumbaugh, David Brumbaugh; Sarah Kough; Adam Kough: Charles Ballard and Jonathan Ballard. Four great grandchildren: Charles Fawks, IV; Jordan Miller; Erica Miller and Mickia Ballard. He has the following siblings that survive: George Goshorn of Neelyton; Galen Goshorn of Greenville, TN; Ruth Cook of Fayetteville; Hilda Hall of New Cumberland. Two sisters, Evelyn Arndt and Mary Booher, preceded in death. One daughter, Judith Ballard, preceded in death. Mr. Goshorn was a member of the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, RD, Shade Gap, and the Blairs Mills Sportsman's Assoc. During his life he owned and operated E. M. Goshorn Lumber Co., Neelyton. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U. S. Marine Corps, mostly in China. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed reading. He was an inspiration to other handicapped people.
