Oscar Hawn, in West township, near Petersburg, on Friday morning after a short illness, from heart failure. She was a daughter of Robert and Mary Green and was born in Miller township on August 19, 1859. In her earlier years she taught school and was a music teacher. She was a member of the Manor Hill M. E. church. Surviving are three sisters: Mrs. John W. Myton, of Petersburg; Mrs. C. Oscar Hawn, of West township; and Mrs. George E. Corcelius, of Fifth street, Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at the residence by Rev. E. E. Sponsler, of Everett, her former pastor. Interment was made in Manor Hill cemetery.
