Greenleaf, of 814 1/2 Twelfth street, died from acute indigestion at his home yesterday morning at 3:15 o'clock, following his return from a visit to Huntingdon, where he attended a meeting Tuesday night. He aroused his family several hours after getting to bed, but died before medical aid could be given. He was general freight agent for the Huntingdon & Broad Top Mountain railroad, at Huntingdon, for forty years. When the road was made a part of the Juniata division, federal railways system, Mr. Greenleaf was brought to this city and served as assistant in the local division freight agent's office. He resided here for the last six months. On February 19, 1856, he was born at Portsmouth, N.H., and came to this state when quite young. He wedded Miss Susan Jennie Hatfield, who survives with these children: Albert, Huntingdon; Fred, Bedford; Frank, Mrs. Myra Bergantz; Miss Mary Greenleaf and Mrs. Helen Hall, all of Huntingdon; William, Ruth and Grace Greenleaf, all of this city. Eight grandchildren also survive. He was a member of the Lutheran church, being treasurer of the St. James church, Huntingdon. He was also a member of the Royal Arcanum lodge. The body was taken to Huntingdon yesterday. Funeral services will be held later this week at 704 Oneida street, the Greenleaf homestead. Burial will take place at Huntingdon.
