The Valley Log, Orbisonia, Pa., October 31, 2001
Irene D. Grove, 94, formerly of Orbisonia and Mount Union, died at 3:35 a.m. 
Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at the Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia.

Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 
Orbisonia. Interment was made in the Germany Valley Cemetery, RD Shirleysburg.

Born June 26, 1907 in Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter 
of the late Donald and Ella (Wasson) Peterson. She was married to Clarence D. 
Grove who preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1968.

Mrs. Grove is survived by one daughter, Joyce J. Miller of Gainesville, Ga., 
four grandsons, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Radford Lee and Wayne Clarence, preceded her in death.

The following sisters and brother survive: Verna Fogle of RD Shirleysburg, Alma 
Hollibaugh of Rockhill Furnace, Irma Ancona of Maryland and Jacob K. Peterson 
of State College. One brother, John, died as an infant.

Mrs. Grove was a member of the Orbisonia United Methodist Church and the Mount 
Union chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She retired from Greif Bros. 
Manufacturing, Mount Union. In her early days, she was a school teacher.
