Gutshall, 65, of 508 12th Street, Huntingdon, died on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at the Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. He died following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan 28, at the 15th Street United Methodist Church Huntingdon. Officiating will be Rev. Fred Hickok and Rev. Timothy Weitkamp and interment will be made in the Haven Rest Memorial Park, RD1, Shirleysburg. Friends may call at the 15th Street United Methodist Church on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Friday after 9 a.m. until the hour of the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union. Born June 19, 1939 in Germany Valley, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late William and Iva Pearl (Love) Gutshall. He was married to P. Jean (Covert) Gutshall on July 13, 1968 in Orbisonia. Mrs. Gutshall survives at their home. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Stanley (Bill) (Velma L. Shoop) of Mapleton Depot. An infant daughter, Jeanne Marie Gutshall, preceded Mr. Gutshall in death. He was a member of the 15th Street United Methodist Church in Huntingdon where he also formerly served on the Administrative Council and was a former member of the Board of Trustees. Mr. Gutshall retired in 1999 after 38 years of employment at he Penn State University, working in the grounds maintenance department. He enjoyed working outdoors, especially gardening. He also enjoyed small engine repair. Mr. Gutshall graduated from Huntingdon County High School in 1957.
