Gutshall Grant Allen Gutshall, 90, of Pitt Street, Hustontown, died at 8:15 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2001, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 24 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, with Pastor George Clippinger and Pastor Chris Elliott officiating. Interment will be made in Hustontown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. Born Sept. 26, 1910, in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late Simon and Sybil (Flasher) Gutshall. He was united in marriage to Margaret Ruth (Hershey) Gutshall on May 11, 1940. Mrs. Gutshall survives at their home. Surviving is a sister, Alice Hearn of Huntingdon. Mr. Gutshall was preceded in death by a infant daughter, Verna Hazel Gutshall; two brothers and one sister, Phillip Gutshall, William Gutshall and Myrtle Moore. He was a member of the Hustontown United Methodist Church. Mr. Gutshall was a member of the Hustontown Area Senior Citizens. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also played the banjo with several local groups for festivals and homecomings. In his early years, he had worked at farming and coal mining. His last employment was at Letterkenny Army Depot where he worked for 22 years. He also sold Herbling Products for a number of years. The Valley Log, Orbisonia, PA, May 23, 2001
