The son of David and Mary (Yeager) Horn, he was born in Freestone, Franklin County, on December 19, 1883. On February 15, 1905, he was united in marriage with Keturah Cramer, who survives. In addition to his wife his stepmother Mrs. Ida Horn, St. Thomas, and these children survive: Mary (Mrs. Charles Pollock), Shirleysburg R.D. Ida Mae (Mrs. Gerald Swartz), McVeytown R.D.; Beulah (Mrs. Henry Clymans), Shirleysburg; Samuel and Roy Horn, both of Mount Union R.D.; Glenn Horn, Orbisonia; and Josiah and Robert Horn, at home. There are fifteen grandchildren. There are these brothers and sisters: August and Norman Horn, Mrs. Ida Suders and Mrs. Florence Gibboney, all of Mount Union: David Horn, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mrs. Charles Grow Lowellville, Ohio; and Harry Horn, Johnsontown. One brother, one sister and two stepsisters preceded Mr. Horn in death. An aunt also survives: Mrs. Ida Trumpower, of Hagerstown, Maryland. Mr. Horn was a kind and devoted husband and father. Most of his life he engaged in farming and worked in the Mount Union brickyards. He was a member of the Men's Bible Class of the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will begin at the late home Thursday, June 6, at 1:30 p.m. followed by a service at 2:30 in the Germany Valley Church of the Brethren. The Rev. and Mrs. Martin Scholten of the Church of the Brethren and the Rev. Frank Crawford of the Allenport Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be made in the Germany Valley Cemetery, Clark funeral service.
