Hanlon Mrs. Essie Ellenor Hanlon, age, 32, wife of Edward J. Hanlon residing near Shirleysburg, Pa, died at the Blair memorial hospital Sunday evening, Nov. 23, after a short illness. Deceased was born at Salvesport, Md. She was the daughter of John W. and Ellen Strain Crist. Almost her entire life was spent in Shirley township. She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Hanlon and three children, Florence, Edward and Lucy; also the following brothers and sisters: Oliver W. Crist, Lancaster, Pa.; William J., of Canton, O.; Charles A. of Cleveland, O.; J. H. of Shirleysburg; Mrs. Clyde Reck, Mapleton; and Lucenda at home. Her father died about four years ago and her mother two years ago. She was a member of the Lutheran church and beloved by all who knew her. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the home, Rev. Shannon of the Mt. Union church officiated. Interment was in the family plot in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Mt. Union. The funeral was in charge of W. P. Dunmire. Daily News, Huntingdon, Pa., November 26, 1924
