At her home, one mile from Alexandria, Mrs. Catharine Itinger Harencane, widow of Jacob S. Harencane, died at 11:30 a.m. on New Year's day, after an illness of four weeks, due to old age. Mrs. Harencane was born March 6, 1834, being aged at death 82 years, 9 months and 26 days. She was married September 6, 1855, to Jacob S. Harencane, of Alexandria. To this union were born fourteen children, eight of whom, with their father, preceded her to the grave. The following children survive: Henry L., of Bellwood; William S., at home; Mrs. W. S. Prough and Mrs. I. C. Feaster, sr., of Huntingdon; Mrs. John Snyder, of Barree; Mrs. Ida M. Parks, of East Altoona. Twenty-four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren survive, also one brother and one sister - John Itinger, of Johnstown, and Mrs. Erbason Prough, of Huntingdon. Mrs. Harencane was a lifelong member of the Reformed church at Alexandria, having formally united therewith at the age of 16. The funeral will take place from her late home Thursday at 12:30.
