He was crossing the river opposite the depot in a leaky boat, when someone saw him waving his arms for help. When help arrived he had gone down for the last time. His body was found about 11 o'clock, within two hours after the accident. The boy, it was said, was on an errand to the Wilson farm on the opposite side of the river. He was a son of Frank Harpster, of the town of Petersburg, and was an excellent boy. He was a member of the Lutheran church and of J. Elmer Young's class in the Sunday school. He also belonged to the Boy Scouts. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, services in the Lutheran church by the pastor, Rev. A. F. Richardson, with interment at Petersburg.
