Mr. Daniel Hawn, one of the oldest residents of Mill Creek, this county, died 
on Monday about 11 o'clock, of paralysis.  He had been in failing health for 
some time.  Deceased was aged 71 years this month and leaves one son and one 
daughter.  He was an industrious and respected citizen.  Funeral Wednesday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock, services conducted by Rev. M. L. Smith.

Daniel  Hawn was a son of Michael and Eve Speck Hawn.  He married Hester 
(Hetty) Plowman.  He and Hester are buried in the Mountainview Cemetery, 
Millcreek, Huntingdon Co., PA.  Children were Christina, Augusta Ann, Susanna, 
and William Watson Hawn.
