All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm __________________________________________________________ Mrs. Rebecca Major Hawn who resided at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nellie Moore of 711 East Third street, Bellwood, and occasionally at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Edith Miller of 122 West Vandevander street, Mount Union, and formerly of Mill Creek, died Thursday morning at the Fitzgerald convalescent home in Altoona. She was born on May 16, 1856, the daughter of David M. and Sara (Davies) Major. Surviving are two sons and three daughters, Herman Major Hawn of York, Glenn W. of Mill Creek, Mrs. Nellie Moore of Bellwood, Mrs. Edith Miller of Mount Union and Mrs. V. M. Speck of Huntingdon, R. D. No. 3, and three sisters, Mrs. Mayme Millard of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. George Black of Huntingdon and Mrs. Nellie J. Swales of New Brunswick, N. J.; 27 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Mrs. Hawn was a member of the Episcopal church. Friends will be received at the Fuoss mortuary in Bellwood after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Mickey. Interment in Mill Creek. Friends are being received at the Fuoss mortuary after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Additional Comments: Mrs. Hawn's parents were David Ringold Major and Sarah Ann Davies. She, and her husband, William Watson Hawn, are buried in the Mountainview Cemetery, Millcreek, PA.
