She was born Jan. 31, 1904, to George Blair and Alice (Grove) Weaver in Huntingdon. She is survived by three daughters: Mary Louise V. Chubb of Peachtree City, Ga., Barbara V. Reynolds of Reisterstown, Md., and Nancy V. Kyper of Huntingdon; 12 grandchildren: Rob Chubb, Steve Sergeant, Sandra Sergeant Decker, Kimberly Sergeant, Melissa Reynolds Nagowski, Nancy Reynolds Kane, Thomas Lloyd Reynolds, Cynthia Vaughn Lemin, Robin Vaughn Sipes, Scott Vaughn and Christopher Vaughn; and 27 great-grandchildren. Kendall Lemmon joined the family in 1978 following the death of his mother. Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Banks Vaughn Jr.; her brother, George Raymond Weaver; and grandson, Richard V. Chubb. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Huntingdon for most of her life. This church was very special to her family as her mother and father were very active in the building of St. James. For many years, Mrs. Vaughn was engaged in community affairs. She was very active in the Standing Stone Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, serving as regent several times. She was also an active member of the Embroiders Guild, Order of the Eastern Star and the Huntingdon County Historical Society. Her education began at the old William Smith School. She was then graduated from Huntingdon High School Class of 1921 and earned her bachelor of science degree in mathematics with the Class of 1925 at Juniata College. While there, she tutored many returning veterans of World War I. Upon graduation, she briefly taught math in Vintondale. After her marriage in August 1927 to Banks W. Vaughn of Mount Union, she helped her husband start in the bakery business. The business later became Hom-Taste baking Co. in Mount Union, Huntingdon and Lewistown. Her reputation was widespread and well-known as a seamstress and needle expert. Three following generations of family and friend benefited from her knitting skills as she produced as many as 25 designed and hand knit sweaters at Christmas for many years. Needlepoint and crewel quickly became her favorites. Her counted cross stitch were true works of art, particularly P. Buckley Moss, Mimes, Precious Moments and others. Mrs. Vaughn submitted her "Blackworks" for critique in a correspondence course and came away with a grade of excellent. Her samplers hang in a number of homes and will be treasured for a lifetime. Her children and grandchildren enjoy her many art works in their homes today. She thoroughly enjoyed her needlework until age 97 when her eyesight began to deteriorate. Her days were spent with talking, books, TV, family, visitors and, more recently, her companions who assisted her daughter, Nancy. She entered Westminster Woods in July of 2004 at age 100. A memorial service was held Nov. 13, at St. Mathews Old Stone Lutheran Church, Marklesburg. Interment followed. Nina B. SHAFER, 67, of Burnham, died Nov. 2, 2004. Born June 5, 1937, in Mapleton, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Wharton and Mary (Sheets) Wharton of Shirleysburg, who survives. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her companion, Tom Bellante of State College; one son, Mark W. Shafer of Litchfield, N.H.; and two daughters, Mary A. Shafer of Horndale; and Rebecca A. Valentine of Windsor, Colo. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Brittany, Caitlyn and Taylor Shafer; Max and E. Tucker Valentine; and Tavia and Isabella Godfrey. Two brothers and one sister survive: Donald H. Wharton, and his wife, Genevieve, of Mapleton; Kenneth"Tom" Wharton, and his wife, Barbara, of Shirleysburg; and Helen W. Bonner of Burnham. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert M. Wharton in 1996. She was employed as an office manager with Mid Penn Legal Services in Lewistown. She was also a seamstress. Ms. Shafer loved animals and was a big supporter and very proud of EMS and five companies. She and her companion, Tom, Really loved to dance. Information regarding Ms. Shafer's memorial service was held later date. M. Jennie SMITH, 81, of Star Route , Huntingdon, died Nov. 2, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born Aug. 3, 1923, in Walker Twp., Huntingdon Co., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Rachel (Fox) Campbell. She was united in marriage to Glenn A. Smith who preceded her in death Sept. 19, 1997. She is survived by two brothers and five sisters: Fred Campbell of McConnellstown, Dorothy DeArmitt of Alexandria, Pearl Smith of McConnellstown, Laura Kifer of McConnellstown, Edith Everhart of Hustontown, Lottie Dick of Petersburg and David Campbell of Martinsburg. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Smith attended the Calvin United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Trough Creek Valley Lioness Club and the Trough Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Smith was employed by J.B. Kunz Inc., Huntingdon, for 44 years. Funeral services were held Nov. 5, at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville. Interment was made in the IOOF Memorial Cemetery in Mapleton. Herbert Glen BEAM, 75, of Alexandria, died Nov. 2, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born Aug. 26, 1929, in Shippensburg, he was the son of the late Roy and Emma (Stouffer) Beam. He was united in marriage to Maxine Alice Whitsel June 16, 1951, in Hagerstown, Md. He is survived by his wife at home and by four sons and two daughters: Ronald D. Beam Sr., and his wife, Donna, of Alexandria; Norman G. Beam, and his wife, Elaine, of Alexandria; Herbert D. Beam, and his wife, Brenda, of James Creek; Brian M. Beam, and his companion, Jonnie Beck, of Alexandria; Peggy (Beam) Allen, and her husband, Daniel, of Huntingdon; and Judy (Beam) Pust, and her husband, Daniel, of West Newton. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters survive: Donald Beam, and his wife, Carol, of Bristol, Conn.; Melvin Beam, and his wife, Anna, of Shippensburg; John Beam, and his wife, Joanne, of Shippensburg; Betty Beam of Shippensburg; and Edna O'Donnell of Shippensburg. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ronald D. Beam Jr. Feb. 7, 2002; one sister, Ida Catherine Wadel; and nine brothers, Ralph, William, Joseph, Ernest, Jay, Calvin, Hughie, Robert and James Beam. Mr. Beam attended public schools in Shippensburg and served during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army, 2nd Army Division, 34th Infantry Regiment, from Feb. 15, 1951, to Feb. 7, 1953. While stationed in Japan with the Army, he had the opportunity to climb Mount Fuji. He retired from PennDOT in 1991 after 20 years of service as an equipment operator. Mr. Beam enjoyed NASCAR racing and enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren racing in stock cars, go-carts and motorcross. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed wood working, playing his guitar and playing horseshoes with his grandson at the Petersburg horseshoe tournaments. Mr. Beam had been a resident of Logan Twp. since 1969. Funeral services were held Nov. 5, at the Cutright-Speck Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with Pastor Randy Willis officiating. Interment was made in the Garden of Honor at Mount Union Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded at graveside. Margaret Elizabeth Henry GIFFIN, 94, a resident of Epworth Manor, Tyrone, and formerly of Alexandria and Huntingdon, died Nov. 3, 2004, at Epworth Manor. Born Nov. 21, 1909, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Josephine (Hummel) Porte. Her first union was to Albert Henry who preceded her in death in 1955. She later married Chester Giffin, who preceded her in death in 1984. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Henry Gill of Baltimore, Md., and Katherine Henry Speck of Huntingdon. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Constance Henry Keinzle; a brother, Clarence Porte; and two sisters, Mary Porte Olds and B. Jane Porte White. Mr. Giffin was a member of the 12th Street United Methodist Church in Huntingdon, where she participated in the Women's Missionary Society for over 50 years, taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was also an active volunteer at the Standing Stone Senior Citizens Center. Mr. Giffin had been employed as a clerk for a number of stores in the Tyrone area. She had been a longtime resident of Tyrone and moved to Alexandria in the 1970's. Later, she resided at DeForrest Apartments in Huntingdon and Meadowview Manor, McVeytown, until moving to Epworth Manor. Funeral services were held Nov. 8, 2004, at the Cutright-Speck Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Wayne L. Richards and Chaplain Joan Smith officiating. Interment will be made in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Huntingdon. Clarice Romaine (Fink) ZIMMERMAN, 87, of Martinsburg, died Nov. 4, 2004, at Nason Hospital in Roaring Springs. Born May 13, 1917, in Hopewell, she was the daughter of the late Clay W. and Elizabeth (Cessna) Fink. She was united in marriage to Donald Zimmerman Dec. 28, 1935, in Cumberland, Md. Mr. Zimmerman preceded her in death June 14, 1998. She is survived by a son, Allen L. Zimmerman, and his wife, Carol, of Hopewell, and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A sister, Blanche Zimmerman of Riddlesburg, also survives. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Mildred Sellon, Earnie Eichelberger and Diora Shetron, and two brothers, Casper Fink and Stanley Fink. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Martinsburg Church of God, Martinsburg. She was primarily a homemaker and had held employment at the Cove Shoe Factory. She had enjoyed going to the Roaring Springs Senior Citizens Center. Funeral services were held Nov. 9, at the Finleyville Union Church, Six Mile Run, with Pastor Marion Foor officiating. Interment was made in Yellow Creek Reform Cemetery, Hopewell. Louise M. VARNER, 82, of Huntingdon, died Nov. 4, 2004, at Altoona Hospital. She was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Huntingdon, the daughter of the late Carl and Clara (Graffius) Itinger. She was married to Glenn E. Varner May 16, 1947, at the Stone Church of the Brethren, Huntingdon, by the Rev. Tobias Henry. She is survived by her husband at their home. She is survived by a daughter, Fredda Louise Barlow of Zephyrhills, Fla.; a son, Vincent Varner of Huntingdon; and two stepsons, Monty Varner of Mill Creek and Randall Varner of Mechanicsburg. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother. Mrs. Varner was a member of the 15th Street United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. She retired as a state nurse. Private funeral services were held at the convenience of her family at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon. Interment was made in Alexandria Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Alexandria. Alen S. WILSON, 53, of Huntingdon, died Nov. 4, 2004, at Shadyside Hospital In Pittsburgh. Born Oct. 10, 1951, in McAlevys Fort, he was the son of James E. and Sara (Knepp) Wilson. He was united in marriage to Kathleen M. McGinnis July 6, 1976, at 15th Street United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. He is survived by his wife at their home; his mother of Huntingdon; and three children; Kristina M. Thompson of Hershey, Jesse A. Wilson of Pittsburgh and Erin K. Wilson of Hollidaysburg. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Janae McGinnis, Savay Thompson and Eric A. Laratonda. Two brothers survive: James F. Wilson of Huntingdon, and Barry L. Wilson of Huntingdon. Mr. Wilson attended 15th Street United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 223, Huntingdon, and the Home Association of Standing Stone Post No. 1754 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Wilson graduated from Huntingdon Area High School with the Class of 1969. He was employed as master control operator for WPSX Channel 3, Penn State University. He was a drummer for local bands The Cameos, Country Inspirations and The Nighthawks. Funeral services were held Nov. 8, at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Fred E. Hickok officiating. Interment was made in St. Stephen's Lutheran Cemetery, McAlevys Fort. C. Duane "Bucky" BRANSTETTER, 83, of Tyrone, died Nov. 4, 2004, at Altoona Hospital. Born Jan. 31, 1921, in Centre County, he was the son of Cooper and Rosella (Taylor) Branstetter. He was united in marriage to Alice Barley June 16, 1944, in Riggles Gap. He is survived by his wife and two sons: Terry Lee Branstetter, and his wife, Jane, of Pennington Road, Tyrone, and Joel D. Branstetter, and his wife, Kathy, also of Pennington Road, Tyrone. He is also survived by five grandsons and eight great-grandchildren, and a son-in-law, Russell "Ken" Harpster of Ridge Road, Tyrone. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Kay Harpster, and two sisters, Imogene Halterman and Donna Christofic. Mr. Branstetter was a member of the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church. He was a charter member of the Warriors Mark-Franklin Fire Co. He graduated from Warriors Mark High School with the Class of 1940 and retired as a dairy farmer. Mr. Branstetter enjoyed flowers and woodworking. Funeral services were held Nov. 6, at the Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, with the Rev. Peggy Bonsell officiating. Interment was made in Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. Richard L. "Rich" NEIL, 72, of Warriors Mark, died Nov. 4, 2004, at his home. Mr. Neil has been in failing health since March. Born May 8, 1932, in Tyrone, he was the son of the late Horace L. and Jessie (Fagley) Neil. He was united in marriage to Beverly M. Burket March 6, 1953, at the Three Springs United Methodist Church by the Rev. Kenneth Burket. Surviving are his wife; a son, Steven L. Neil of Deltona, Fla.; three sisters: Dorothy Lord of Ticonderoga, N.Y., Betty Gross of Cape Coral, Fla., and Maxine Jacobs of Aspen, Colo.; and two brothers, Gene Neil of Lewes, Del., and Horace L. Neil Sr., of Tyrone. Mr. Neil was a member of the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church. He was a member of Tyrone Elks Lodge No. 212. He was a 1952 graduate of Tyrone High school and was educated as a draftsman by the International Correspondence School, Scranton, and also attended classes Penn State University and in Pittsburgh. Mr. Neil retired in 1996 as head engineer at Elco Corp., Huntingdon, following 32 years of service. He was previously employed at Balastic Laboratories, Cumberland, Md., as a draftsman for four years. He enjoyed boating and fishing at Glendale Lake. Memorial services were held Nov. 13, at the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church with Pastor Peggy Bonsell officiating. A. Ruth HORTON, 86, of Newville, died Nov. 4, 2004, at Green Ridge Village, Newville. Born May 19, 1918, in Sandy Run, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Smith) Showalter. On Jan. 25, 1936, in Cumberland, Md., she was united in marriage to Merrill Andrew Horton who preceded her in death March 10, 1961. She is survived by four daughters and one son: Shirley R. Gorsuch of Mechanicsburg; Connie A. Whitfield, and her husband Melvin, of Spring Mount; Pastor Merle J. Horton,and his wife, Sarah (Weist), of Everett; Nancy L. Bush of Dowell, Md.; and Mona L. Detwiler of Newville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. A sister, Dorothy "Pat" Dick of Alexandria, survives. She was preceded in death by the following siblings: Catherine Neville, Viola Figard, Mabel Rudy, Fred Showalter, Margaret Hammond, Lorraine Griffith, John H. Showalter, Dolly Dick and three infant sisters. Mrs. Horton was a member of the Round Knob Church of God and attended Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church, Newville. She enjoyed baking for others and was well known for her wedding cakes. Funeral services were held Nov. 7, at the Long-Akers Funeral Chapel, Saxton, with Pastor Merle J. Horton officiating. Interment will be made in Wells Valley Presbyterian Cemetery. S. Jean GUYER, 79, of Huntingdon, died Nov. 5, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born April 27, 1925, in Dudley, she was the daughter of Jean Jones and was reared in the home of her grandparents, Thomas and Elizabeth Jones. She was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Guyer March 24, 1943, in Huntingdon. Mr. Guyer preceded her in death Aug. 20, 1997. She is survived by one son and two daughters: Lloyd E. Guyer Jr. of Huntingdon; Carol D. Johnson of Huntingdon; and Karen I. Guyer of Huntingdon. She is survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Guyer attended Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Huntingdon. She was primarily a homemaker and was an avid bingo player and enjoyed taking walks. Funeral services were held Nov. 9, at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas C. Coleman officiating. Interment was made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Michael Ray DETWILER SR., 38, of Rockhill Furnace, died Nov. 6, 2004, at his home. Born Dec. 8, 1965, in Huntingdon, he was the son of Freeman G. and Gladys (Moore) Detwiler. He was united in marriage to Sarah Mills Sept. 23, 1989. He is survived by his father of Rockhill Furnace; his wife, Sarah, and three children at home: Michael Ray Detwiler Jr., Michaela Susan Detwiler and Ethan Blair Detwiler. Six brothers and one sister survive: George F. Detwiler of Rockhill Furnace; Ruth E. Seilhamer of Shirleysburg; David L. Detwiler of Gilbertsville; Charles R. Detwiler of Shirleysburg; William C. Detwiler of Three Springs; Steven A. Detwiler of Orbisonia; and Terry L. Detwiler of Shirleysburg. Mr. Detwiler was a member of the Rockhill Church of the Brethren, Rockhill Furnace. He was a member of the Orbisonia Lions Club. Orbisonia-Rockhill Volunteer Fire Co.; and Sons of the American Legion, Madden-Wennick Post No. 518, Orbisonia. Mr. Detwiler worked as a maintenance employee for Orbisonia Borough for the past 12 years. He also was a school bus driver for the Southern Huntingdon County School district. He worked for both the Orbisonia and Rockhill Furnace TV cable companies. Funeral services were held Nov. 9, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Pastor Shelby McCoy officiating. Interment will be made in the IOOF Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace. Beatrice Mary WALKER, 97, of Waterfall Road, Harrisonville, died Nov. 6, 2004, at the Fulton County Medical center, McConnellsburg. Born Aug. 19, 1907, in Taylor Twp., Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late William and Grace (Barnett) Knepper. She was united in marriage to Emanuel W. Walker Jan. 1, 1930. Mr. Walker preceded her in death Oct. 29, 1974. She is survived by four daughters and one son: Edith H. Gallaher of Hustontown; Nelson E. Walker of Waterfall; Naomi G. Walker of Harrisonville; Ann M. Howard of Atlanta, Ga.; and Bonnie B. Santanna of Hummelstown. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers survive: Norman Knepper of Three Springs and Wilmer Knepper of Chambersburg. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Howard, Erman and Paul; and two sisters, Mae Berkstresser and Laura Stevens. Mrs. Walker was a member of Center United Methodist Church, Waterfall, where she was a member of the WSCS. She worked as a cook in the cafeteria at Forbes Road High School and was a homemaker. Funeral services were held Nov. 10, at the Center United Methodist Church, Waterfall, with Pastor George Clippinger and the Rev. Stephen Gallaher officiating. Interment was made in Center Cemetery. Elizabeth "Jean" LAMBERSON, 86, a resident of Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, for the past seven years, and formerly of Mapleton, died Nov. 7, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born Dec. 16, 1917, in Pitcairn, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of the late James Harvey and Olive Anna (Kope) Kelly. She was united in marriage to Irvin T. Lamberson June 11, 1941, in Hagerstown, Md. Mr. Lamberson preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1992. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Jean Wray of Mount Union, and Elain Marie Lamberson of Lewistown. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Teressa Bilger, and her husband, Carl, of Mount Union; Brian Wray, and his wife, Donna, of Shirleysburg; and Leslie Wesolowski, and her husband, Anthony, of Georgia; and three great-grandchildren. A sister, Mary Louise Martz of Irwin, survives. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Thomas Wray and Linda J. Wray, and three brothers: James H. Kelly Jr., Marlyn C. Kelly and Alton W. Kelly. Mrs. Lamberson was a member of the Mount Union Presbyterian Church, where she had been a member of the Grace Welch Sunday School Class and the Presbyterian Women's Association. She had been employed in the past at the Greenwood State Park nursery, the G.C. Murphy store in Mount Union and in the kitchen at Juniata College. Mrs. Lamberson loved her family very much and enjoyed growing flowers. Funeral services were held Nov. 10, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with Pastor Elaine P. Africa officiating. Interment will be made in the Mapleton IOOF Cemetery. George D. REYNOLDS JR., 84, of State College, formerly of New Canaan, Conn., died Nov. 7, 2004, at The Fairways at Brookline Village. Born June 27, 1920, in Altoona, he was a son of the late George D. and Greta (Harshbarger) Reynolds. He was united in marriage to Barbara Preuss. He is survived by his wife at home; one son, George D. Reynolds II of Victoria, Canada; and a daughter, Jane R. Schulten, and her husband, R. Brendon, of Crete, Ill. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Keeler and Trevor Schulten. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Devlin and Delores Fallon, and one brother, Norman Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a member of Spruce Creek United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Parks Air College in East St. Louis, III. He served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Reynolds was associated with A. H. Emery Co., New Canaan, Conn. Private services and interment were held at the convenience of the family. Samuel T. BRUMBAUGH, 85, of Saxton, died Nov. 8, 2004, at his home. Born Oct. 6, 1919, in Saxton, he was the son of the late Theodore C. and Rosa (Hoover) Brumbaugh. On Nov. 19, 1938, in Cumberland, Md., he was united in marriage to Alice A. Brumbaugh, who preceded him in death March 8, 2004. He is survived by the following children: Ruth A. Walls, and her husband, Dale, of Saxton; Kenneth E. Brumbaugh, and his wife, Karen (Olson), of New Brighten, Minn.; and Roger R. Brumbaugh, and his wife, Kathleen (Edwards), of Saxton. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One brother, Ellis Brumbaugh, and his wife, Betty (Kennedy), of Holt, Mich., and a sister-in-law, Mary (Neville) Brumbaugh of Saxton, survive. He was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: John Brumbaugh, Ruth Brumbaugh, Robert Brumbaugh and Paul Brumbaugh. Mr. Brumbaugh was a lifetime member of Raven Run Church of the Brethren, Saxton, serving as deacon for over 50 years. In his early years, he worked in the Coke Ovens in Riddlesburg. He farmed in the valley his entire life, owning and operating his own farm for many years. Mr. Brumbaugh drove school bus for 52 years for the Tussey Mountain School District. He served as a Liberty Twp. supervisor for many years and also worked for the Liberty Twp. Municipal Sewer Authority. WISER, 54, of Orbisonia, was pronounced dead Nov. 10, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born June 19, 1950, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Frances (Brenneman) Estep. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Merrill Miller. She was united in marriage to Ivan E. Wiser Dec. 31, 1965. Mr. Wiser survives at their home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons and one daughter: Adam B. Wiser, Frank L. Wiser, Tammy E. Dunn and Christopher E. Wiser, all of Orbisonia, and Ivan P. Wiser of Three Springs. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Donna Wright, Jessica Heidel, Jeffrey Dunn and Jessica Dunn, and three great-grandchildren. Five sisters and one brother survive: Jane Banks of Mill Creek, Thelma Myers of Newton Hamilton, James Estep of Cassville, Judy Gilbert of Allenport, Joyce Bollinger of Mill Creek and Betty Puchalo fo Waynesboro. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Port and Rosaline Ward. Mrs. Wiser was a member of Cross Keys Church of God, East Waterford, where she was active in the church's ladies auxiliary. Along with being a homemaker, she was employed as a certified nurse's aid at Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia for approximately 10 years. Frances Smith officiating. Interment was made in Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg. Mary Frances ROGERS, 87, of Rockhill Furnace, died Nov. 10, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born Jan. 4, 1917, in Rockhill Furnace, she was the daughter of the late Morrison Blaine and Hannah Maude (Murphy) Locke. She was united in marriage to Clyde V. Rogers who preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters: Elaine Salvino of Harrisburg and Pauline Piper and Carolyn Welsh, both of Rockhill Furnace. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Murphy and James Locke. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Orbisonia Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, Friends of the Lower Huntingdon County Library, Woodland Retirement Center Ladies Auxiliary, Shirley Home for the Aged Ladies Auxiliary, J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and, at one time, Helped at the Orbisonia Food Bank. During her life she was a homemaker. Funeral services were held Nov. 13, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Interment was made in Orbisonia Cemetery. Carl F. "Short" SOUDERS, 67, of Wells Tannery, died Nov. 11, 2004, at Chambersburg Hospital. Born Aug. 10, 1937, in Wells Tannery, he was the son of the late Lester and Leona (Seville) Souders. He was united in marriage to Patricia "Patsy" Metzler Dec. 28, 1954. He is survived by his wife of 49 years at home and by two sons and three daughters: C. Duane Souders, and his wife, Nancy; Shirley Hall, and her husband, Ted; R. James Souders, and his wife, Rochelle; and Connie Barnett and her husband, Roy, all of Wells Tannery, and H. Joan Johnston, and her husband, James, of McConnellsburg. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Helen Foreman of Wells Tannery and Carol Grimes of Chambersburg, survive. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Hobie Gordon; five brothers: Preston, Rankin, Lee, Gerald and Dale; and by a son-in-law, Scott Brown. Mr. Souders was a member of Everett Lodge No. 524 F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory and Jaffa Shrine, Altoona. He was last employed as an equipment operator with Palmer Construction, McConnellsburg. Prior to that he and worked for JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, and for New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. for 35 years. Funeral services were held Nov. 15, at the M. R. Furl Duane "Skip" SNEATH, 64, of Huntingdon, died Nov. 12, 2004, at Altoona Hospital following a courageous fight with Alzheimer's disease and cancer. Born Nov. 12, 1940, in Smithfield Twp., Huntingdon, he was the son of the late Furl C. and Esther (Bumbarger) Sneath. He was united in marriage Oct. 17, 1970, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Pat Bingaman, who survives at home. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Sneath of State College, and a son, Furl Adam Sneath, and his fiance, Heather Fisher, of Huntingdon. A brother and three sisters survive: Philip L. Sneath of Huntingdon; Marcella Hess, and her husband, Dean, of McConnellstown; Sherry Love of Eagle River, Alaska; and Christine Andreas of Huntingdon, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Kevin Sneath. He and his cat, Luke, were inseparable. Mr. Sneath was of the Lutheran faith. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge NO. 223, Huntingdon, and the Standing Stone Golf Course, Huntingdon. He attended Huntingdon public schools and later graduated from the Los Angeles Technical School in 1971. He also attended Cerritos College in Riverside, Calif. He retired in 1997 after 22 years of service as a welder with Conrail and its predecessor, Penn Central Railroad. Mr. Sneath loved the outdoors. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed walking, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed flowers and gardening and collecting rocks. He was a lifetime resident of Huntingdon County and at his Oneida Twp. home since 1979. He had been residing at the Hollidaysburg Veteran's home since March 2002. Interment was made in Goodman Cemetery, Henderson Twp., Huntingdon. Timothy W. SHEA, 48, of Saxton, died Nov. 12, 2004, at Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring. Born May 3, 1956, in Bankok, Thailand, he was the son of William T.P. and Patricia R. (Barto) Shea. He was preceded in death by his father May 6, 2001. He is survived by his mother and one brother, Michael P. Shea, and his wife, Shirley (Gates), of Pottsville. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Shea graduated from Tussey Mountain High School with the Class of 1974. He earned his bachelors degree in business logistics from the Pennsylvania State University. He was a member of the Penn State Alumni Association, Saxton Sportsmen, Saxton VFW and Communication Workers of America. He enjoyed walking his pet schnauzer, "Boog-dorph,' in the park. Darlene Ruth "Cookie" (Grove) HEARN, 60, of Marklesburg, died Nov. 12, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born Jan. 11, 1944, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Mildred (Brown) Grove. She was united in marriage Oct. 23, 1963, in Winchester, Va., to Allen Samuel Hearn who survives at home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Roger Allen Hearn, and his wife, Beth (Giles), of Huntingdon, and one grandson, Bryan Allen Hearn. Four sisters and three brothers survive: Charlotte Felton of Huntingdon, Sara Hamman of Duncannon, George Grove of New Bloomfield, Barbara Mason of Huntingdon, Ronald Grove of Huntingdon, Roger Grove of Huntingdon and Donna Grove of Gettysburg, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hearn, a lifetime resident of Huntingdon county, was a member of the Marklesburg Fire Co. Auxiliary. She graduated from Huntingdon High School with the Class of 1961 and was primarily a homemaker. She had resided at her Marklesburg home since 1963. Interment was made in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Huntingdon. Roy N. YODER SR., 85, of Belleville, died Nov. 13, 2004, at Valley View Haven Retirement Community, Belleville. Born June 9, 1919, in Mill Creek, he was the son of the late I. Newton Yoder and the late Edith (Summers) Yoder. He was united in marriage to Lizzie M. Zook April 1, 1944. He is survived by his wife at home and two sons and two daughters: Roy N. Yoder Jr., and his wife, Josephine M., of McVeytown; Florence L. Baker of Snohomish, Wash.; Dennis H. Yoder, and his wife, Sally J., of Allensville; and LeAnn S. Yoder of Seattle, Wash. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One sister and one brother survive: Rena Auker, and her husband, Earl, of Oakland Mills and Robert Yoder, and his wife, Faith, of Grand Junction, Colo. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul T. Yoder, George Yoder and James S. Yoder. Mr. Yoder was a member of the Allensville Mennonite Church and served as a mission worker at Otelia Mennonite Church for 47 years. He taught Sunday school, participated in the Big Valley Men's Chorus and taught singing classes for a number of years. He was a dairy farmer of 12 years. He retired from New Holland in 1982 in assembly and had a saw sharpening business following his retirement. (Sergeant) CLARK, 88, of Aston Twp., Delaware County, died Nov. 14, 2004, at her home. She was born in Cassville, the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Walkins) Sergeant. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, William S. Clark; a sister, Leone Africa of Huntingdon; a brother, Earl Steel of Huntingdon and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald E. Clark, in June 2001. She was also preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Edwin Sergeant, John Sergeant, Dick Steel, Zorrie Jamerson, Mary Hardy and Louise White. Mrs. Clark loved animals and enjoyed working in her garden. She had resided in Delaware County for over 50 years. Interment was made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, Nov. 16, 2004. Martha A. MORGAN, 85, of Mount Union, died Nov. 14, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born May 7, 1919, in Mount Union, she was the daughter of Thomas T. and Gertrude B. (Skipper) Kidd. She was united in marriage Oct. 28, 1938, in Mount Union, to Roy A. Morgan, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Dayne P. Morgan, and his wife, Phyllis, of Herndon, and a daughter, Martha Roylene Carroll of Feasterville. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Dayne W. Morgan, and his wife, Sharon; Meechel Sanzzotto, and her husband, Joseph; Kimberly Murray, and her husband, Frank; George Carroll, and his wife, LIza; Roylene Carroll, and her husband, Joseph; and Shaun Carroll. Nine great-grandchildren survive:; Kristen, Brandon, Brittany, Chad, Juliana, Joey, Billy, Jenna and Elliott. Two sisters survive: Betty Ann Dell of Conneaut, Ohio, and Myrtle Kennedy of Peach Bottom. She was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Thomas T. "Pete" Kidd and Evelyn Corcelius. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, George Carroll. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Singer's Gap United Methodist Church in Hill Valley where she was a former Bible school teacher and youth leader. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Order of Amaranth, the Rebekkah Lodge and LAPM, all in the Philadelphia area. She was a member of the Class of 1937 of Mount Union High School where she will be remembered as a member of the girl's basketball team. Mrs. Morgan retired in 1982 from Sears Roebuck Co. in Philadelphia after 20 years of service. Funeral services were held Nov. 18, at the Robert D. Nora May OLBERT, 85, of Martinsburg, passed away Nov. 14, 2004, at Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring following a brief illness. Born Dec. 4, 1918, in Dudley, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nancy (Crawford) Wheeler. She was united in marriage to Clair E. "Lefty" Olbert Sr. April 4, 1941, in Cumberland, Md. Mr. Olbert preceded her in death Nov. 8, 1983. She is survived by a son, Clair E. "Pete" Olbert Jr. of Hesston; a daughter, Nancy J. Stiffler of Martinsburg; seven grandchildren; Crystal, Kevin, Rebecca, Loren, Michael, Susan and Brienne; and eight great-grandchildren; Paul, Shayla, Brett, Kazen, Jaden, Justice, Kross and and Treyce. She was preceded in death by a son, William A. Wheeler, Sept. 20, 2003, and three sisters, Verna Dunn, Grace Morningstar and Myrtle, who died in infancy. Mrs. Olbert was affiliated with the Church of the Brethren. She attended Dudley schools and was a homemaker who enjoyed cleaning, cooking and being with her grandchildren. REESER, 90, formerly of Mount Union and Huntingdon, and most recently a resident of the Shirley Home for the Aged in Shirleysburg, died Nov. 15, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. She had been in failing health. Born Sept. 17, 1914, in Mount Union, she was the daughter of the late George G. and Mary (Rosensteel) Myers. She was united in marriage to Fred W. Reeser Sept. 27, 1946, in Mount Union. Mr. Reeser preceded her in death April 4, 1980. She is survived by a son, Robert S. Reeser of Williamsport, and one sister, Jean Rohrer of Wilmington, Del. She was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Ralph Myers, Musetta Wagner, John R. Myers, Charles Myers, Harold S. Myers and Phyllis Donnelly. Mrs. Reeser was a member of Hicks United Methodist Church in Duncansville, where she had once resided. She graduated from Mount Union High School with the Class of 1933 and and worked as a clerk at Saxes' Department Store in Mount Union for many years. LIVINGSTON, 79, of Huntingdon, died Nov. 15, 2004, at Altoona Hospital, Altoona. Born July 26, 1925, in Allenport, she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. and Pearl F. (Dieter) Byers. She is survived by a son, William R. Livingston of Alexandria, and a daughter, Cindy G. Livingston of Huntingdon. A sister, Mrs. William (Connie) Bidgood of Lancaster, Calif., survives. She was preceded in death by a brother, Max Byers, and a sister, Barbara Monihen. Ms. Livingston attended the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Huntingdon. She was a member of the Huntingdon Hook & Ladder Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the Standing Stone Senior Citizens and volunteered with the area Agency on Aging and the Huntingdon Food Bank. She graduated from Mount Union High School with the Class of 1944 and retired from Elco Corp. in Huntingdon in 1984 as a supervisor in the cylindrical department with 28 years of service. A memorial service was held at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Huntingdon, with the Rev. James S. Stork and the Rev. Leslie Papp officiating. Interment was made in Goodman Cemetery, Huntingdon. Virginia Fay (Swope) SECHRIST, 81, of Mount Union, went to be with the Lord Nov. 15, 2004, at Lewistown Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past year and one-half. Born Dec. 13, 1922, in Hill Valley, Shirley Twp., Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Millard W. and Josie Mae (Hamman) Swope. She was united in marriage to Robert George Sechrist, Feb. 8, 1947, at the home of the Rev. Frank Crawford. She is survived by her husband and three sons: Barry Robert Sechrist, and his wife, Deborah, of Hill Valley; Earl William Sechrist, and his wife, Tammy, of Three Springs: and Ray Allen Sechrist, and his wife, Jodi, of Rome. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. A foster brother, Charles A. Miller of Mount Union, who was reared in the Swope home, survives. Mrs. Sechrist was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Ilene Beatty, W. Carl Swope, John Swope, Arthur Swope, Lorraine Swope, Madeline Naugle, Vincent Swope, Josephine Hancock and Benjamin Swope. Mrs. Sechrist was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church, Mount Union. She had attended the Lower Hill Valley Grade School and Mount Union schools. During World War II, Mrs. Sechrist worked at a Westinghouse defense plant in Pittsburgh. She was an avid seamstress and love to make quilts. She was well known throughout the Hill Valley area for her homemade whoopie pies and apple dumplings. Mrs. Sechrist also devoted her time to compiling a book on the genealogy of the Swope and Hamman families. BLACK, 91, of Eskaton Lodge Gold River Assisted Living, Gold River, Calif., formerly of Fairless Hills for 40 years and Broad Top City, passed away Nov. 15, 2004, at Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael, Calif. Born Feb. 17, 1913, in Saxton, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Delilah (Moore) Rhodes. She was the widow of Louraine "Doc" Black, who preceded her in death in 1985. She is survived by two sons, Elwyn Black, and his wife, Donna, of Ocala, Fla., and Joseph Black, and his wife, Kathleen, of Rancho Murieta, Calif. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Lynn, Donnie, Neil and Alan Joseph Black, and three great-grandchildren: Summer, Ashley and Nicholas Black. Three sisters and one brother survive: Martha Wingate of Huntingdon, Doris Hawn of Bellefonte, Dan Rhodes of Warriors Mark and Jean Kurcaba of Morgantown, W.Va. She was preceded in death by a son, Alan; brothers, Harold, Jack and Marvin Rhodes; and sisters, Betty Black, Catherine Johnson and Ruth Rhodes. Mrs. Black had been active in the Fairless Hills Methodist Church, Fairless Hills. She was active in the Linus Project at Eskaton Lodge Gold River Assisted Living and enjoyed making crocheted afghans for the Shriners Hospital for Children. During her life she was a homemaker and had a reputation for being a great cook and baker, especially fruitcakes. Mrs. Black relocated to the Sacramento, Calif., area eight years ago to be near her family. Funeral services were held Nov. 21, at the Curtis A. Any Pearl FIGARD, 94, a resident of Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, since May 2002, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at the Oaks Nursing Center, Westminster Woods. Born Sept. 29, 1910, at her parents home in Puttstown, she was the youngest of six children of the late David Franklin and Ida May (Treece) Weaver. She was the last living member of her immediate family, but is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was joined in marriage to Sharon T. Figard June 14, 1931, in New Castle. Mr. Figard preceded her in death April 9, 1969. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Donald D. Reed, who was reared in Mr. and Mrs. Figard's home. Although she had no children of her own, she loved children and helped to rear several nephews and neighborhood children. Mrs. Figard attended the Saxton First Church of God from the age of 2 and was active member for 80 years. She served as a teacher of the primary Sunday school class for 35 years, as treasurer of the youth choir and as a church council member for a number of years. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Figard worked for a brief time as a Penn State Extension nutrition aid. For many years, she served on the election board of Hopewell Twp., which used her residence as a polling place. She was an ardent animal lover and enjoyed horseback riding for many years. She also enjoyed traveling and made several trips to the western United States. She rarely missed the annual Weaver family reunion and often performed as part of the Weaver Sisters quartet. MCGEE, 85, of Mount Union, died Nov. 16, 2004, at Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia. Born Sept. 5, 1919, in Orbisonia, she was the daughter of the late Elva J. and Carrie M. (Madden) Brown. She was united in marriage to Robert John McGee Feb. 8, 1939, in Blairs Mills by the Rev. C. Charles Miller. Mr. McGee preceded her in death March 21, 1987. She is survived by three daughters: Shirley A. Jacka, and her husband, Ron, of Mount Union; Margaret G. "Peggy" Whitsel, and her husband, Leroy, of Three Springs; and Gloria J. Kenney, and her husband, Joseph, of Mechanicsburg. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Two sisters survive: Irene Snyder of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Kathlene L. Gracey of Waterfall. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Painter; a granddaughter; and the following brothers and sisters: Melva Ward, Galdys Cohenour, Elva "Pete" Brown and Alberta Gladfelter, and a half-sister, Edna Gill. Mrs. McGee was a member and active supporter of New Life Fellowship Church, Mount Union. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family and being at home. EAGLE JR., 59, of Camp Hill, passed away Nov. 17, 2004, at Harrisburg Hospital. Born Dec. 30, 1944, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late David S. and Dorothy (Weaver) Eagle. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy (Metz) Eagle, and a son, Garry Patrick Eagle, and his wife, Heather (Waite), of Mill Creek. He is also survived by a grandson, Conner David Eagle. A sister, Judy (Eagle) Porter of Newburg, survives, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, David Ross Eagle. Mr. Eagle was a member of American Legion Post No. 109, Mechanicsburg and West Shore Elks No. 2257. He was a life member of Lower Allen VFW Post No. 7530. Mr. Eagle served in the United States Air Force and was a graduate of Shippensburg University. He worked as a systems analyst for over 35 years. Ernestine Gladys (Spencer) PORTER, of Petersburg and formerly of State College, died Nov. 19, 2004, at Valley View Retirement Community, Belleville. Born March 24, 1920, in Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Grace (Yarnell) Spencer. She was united in marriage to Charles E. Porter Sr. who preceded her in death Dec. 19, 1991. She is survived by a daughter, Joyce C. Koch, and her husband, Kenneth, of Petersburg; a son, Charles E. Porter Jr., and his wife, Susan, of Pleasant Gap; and five grandchildren; Sherry Hughes, and her husband, Andrew; Dave Koch, and his wife, Ruth; Russ Koch, and his wife, Linda; James Porter, and his wife, Rachel; and Billie Jo Porter. She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Trent and Cody Koch and Mason Younker. Mrs. Porter was a member of Mooresville United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Huntingdon County Homemakers, Stone Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star No. 388, State College. She was a graduate of State College High School and the Huntingdon Beauty School. Mrs. Porter was a beautician for Ruth's Beauty Salon for 20 years, retiring in 1976. Interment was held at the convenience of Mrs. Porter's family. Orlando ZINOBILE, 80, of Orbisonia, died Nov. 20, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born April 12, 1924, in Shirley Twp., Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late Michael and Angelina (Battistone) Zinobile. He was never married. He is survived by four brothers and two sisters: Hubert Zinobile of Mapleton; Hugh Zinobile of Orbisonia; Adeline Cialone of Shirleysburg; Alfred Zinobile of Orbisonia; Tony Zinobile of Orbisonia; and Annie Edgin of Three Springs. He was preceded in death by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Zinobile was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shade Gap. He engaged in farming and was the owner of Zinobile's Trailer Court in Orbisonia. A funeral Mass was held Nov. 23, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shade Gap, with the Rev. George Koharchik officiating. Interment was made in Orbisonia Cemetery. Emma Rachel STULL, 75, of Huntingdon, and a lifetime resident of Huntingdon, died Nov. 20, 2004, at her residence. Her death was unexpected. Born Sept. 30, 1929, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Harry Milton Slagle and Mary Ann (Lewis) Slagle. She was preceded in death by a companion, W. Jack Forsythe, Feb. 16, 2001. She is survived by the following children: Gard S. Slagle of Georgia; Cathy A. Harris, and her husband, Rick, of Camp Hill; Mona L. Owens, and her husband, Fred, of Johnstown; Sandra K. Banks, and her husband, Kenneth, of Mill Creek; Edward L. Stull Jr. of Alexandria; and Jody A. Forsythe of Boalsburg. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Two sisters survive: Ethel Houck of Williamsburg and Hazel Smith, and her husband, John, of York, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sons: Terry Slagle and David and Ronald Stull, and by four sisters and one brother. Ms. Stull was of the Protestant faith. She attended Huntingdon Public schools and graduated from Huntingdon High School with the Class of 1947. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and all of her grandchildren. TURNBAUGH, 86, formerly of Alexandria, died Nov. 20, 2004, at The Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, where she had resided for the past four years. Born June 10, 1918, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Mary E. (Altmanshofer) Trimer. She was united in marriage to Earl S. Turnbaugh March 1, 1941, at the Catholic parsonage in Huntingdon. Mr. Turnbaugh preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1991. She is survived by one son and two daughters: Robert E. Turnbaugh, and his wife, Ginny, of Jacksonville, Fla.; Mary Ellen Coble, and her husband, James, of Richfield; and Ruth A. Holder, and her companion, Jeff Kelley, of Alexandria. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Beth Perrin, Leslie Burket, Lisa Rowe, Bob Turnbaugh Jr., Shelley Fultz and Janet Sheller, and 11 great-grandchildren. Two brothers survive: Norman E. Trimer of Louisville, Ky., and Ronald W. Trimer of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Charlie Perrin, and one brother, Max Altmanshofer. Mrs. Turnbaugh was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Huntingdon, where she was involved with the Ladies Altar Society. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Alexandria Volunteer Fire Co. she graduated from Alexandria High School with the Class of 1936. Mrs. Turnbaugh was primarily a homemaker and had also sold products for the Fuller Brush Co. for over 30 years in the Alexandria and Huntingdon areas. Dorothy Mae "Dudy" HENRY, 80, of Huntingdon, died Nov. 22, 2004, at her residence. Born Nov. 20, 1924, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Madeline (Anderson) Newingham. She was united in marriage to Boyd Reynolds Henry June 24, 1952, in Winchester, Va. She is survived by her husband at home; two sons, Timothy W. Henry, and his wife, Michele, of Elizabethtown, and Willam B. Henry of Huntingdon; and a step-daughter, Lillian Ann Shideing, and her husband, David, of York. She is also survived by a grandson, Nicholas T. Henry of Elizabethtown, and a granddaughter, Ashlyne D. Henry of Huntingdon. A brother, William Newingham of Hesston, survives. Mrs. Henry was of the Protestant faith and mostly enjoyed helping others. She attended Huntingdon public schools and retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas in 1986. HEARN, 89, of Atlanta, Ga., and formerly of Maple Avenue, Lewistown, died Nov. 22, 2004, in Atlanta, Ga. Born May 25, 1915, in Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late William B. and Emma C. (Fornwalt) Hearn. He was united in marriage to Florence (Waite) Hearn who preceded her in death March 10, 1995. He is survived by a daughter, Nancy H. Romeiko, and her husband, David, Of Atlanta, Ga., two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Christine Alexander of Shelby, N.C., and Jennifer Fullmer of Fairfax, Va., survive. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and four sisters. Mr. Hearn was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewistown. He was a life member of Masonic Lodge No. 203, Lewistown. Mr. Hearn was employed as a welder by Standard Steel in Burnham for 40 years, retiring in 1978. Funeral services were held Nov. 26, at the Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., Lewistown, with the Rev. "Fritz" KUPCHELLA, 88, of Northern Cambria, died Nov. 23, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare-Haida In Hastings. Born March 2, 1916, in Nanty Glo, he was the son of the late Martin and Mary (Kozlauskas) Kupchella. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth (Litavec) Kupchella, and two children, Aldona Beall, and her husband, Robert M., of Bradenton, Fla., and William A. Kupchella, and his wife, Sara (Boyce), of Huntingdon. He is also survived by the following grandchildren: Jennifer Mani, and her husband, Mark, of Pacifica, Calif.; Lydia Moriarity, and her husband, William, of Andover, Mass.; Alexis Taylor, and her husband, Justin, of Park City, Utah; Matthew Beall, and his wife, Marie, of Bradenton, Fla.; Marylynne Kupchella of Weehauken, N.J.; and Adam Kupchella of Huntingdon. Two great-grandchildren survive, Luren and William Moriarity. Two brothers survive, Anthony Kupchella of Cleveland, Ohio, and John Kupchella of Nanty Glo, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard, Martin and Charles; Twin infant sisters, Bernice and Catherine; and a special brother-in-law, Tony Litavec. Mr. Kupchella was a member of the former St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and its Holy Name and Altar and Rosary Society. He was also a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He was a life member and past commander of Barnesboro American Legion Post No. 508 and life member of DAV. Mr. Kupchella was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He loved to cook and fish. A funeral Mass was held Dec. 1, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Interment was made in East Ridge Cemetery, where military rites were conducted by local veteran organizations. Gerald Fred GRACEY, 71, of Robertsdale, died Nov. 23, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born May 21, 1933, in Three Springs, he was the son of the late Jesse O. and Alice (Laidig) Gracey. He was united in marriage to Anna Lucas Nov. 28, 1959, in Winchester, Va. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Kim Gracey Ross of Pittsburgh and Karen Edgin of Three Springs. He is also survived by two grandsons, Matthew Edgin and Cameron Edgin, both of Three Springs. Two sisters and two brothers survive: Thelma Cowans of Delaware, Ruth Everhart of Scottdale, William Gracey of Saxton and Charles Gracey of Six Mile Run. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Gracey was a member of the Watson and Black Post No. 126 American Legion in Broad Top City. He was a 1952 graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked in the coal mines and in the construction field for H.J. Williams and Leon E. Wintermyer. Mr. Gracey enjoyed hunting, reading, gardening and spending time with his grandsons. Funeral services were held Nov. 27, at the Curtis A. Martha A. TRESS, 96, of Huntingdon, died Nov. 24, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born Dec. 26, 1907, in Hollidaysburg, she was the daughter of the late George and Clara (Honstine) Feltenberger. She was united in marriage to Edward C. Tress Dec. 25, 1940, in Hagerstown, Md. Mr. Tress preceded her in death in 1962. She is survived by two sons, Edward B. Tress of Huntingdon and Lewis G. Tress, and his wife, Gloria, of Mount Union, and four grandchildren: Lewis M. Tress, Lori L. Tress, Kathy J. Heaster and Beth A. Cutshall. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren. A sister, Edith Walker of Alexandria, survives. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Fritchey, and two brothers, George Feltenberger and Axel Feltenberger. Mrs. Tress was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Huntingdon. She was a graduate of Huntingdon High School. Mrs. Tress was first and foremost a homemaker, but she also worked as a sales clerk in the china department at C.H. Miller's in Huntingdon. She also was a cafeteria worker at Huntingdon Area High School. Funeral services were held Nov. 27, at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home in Huntingdon with Pastor Michael C. Dubbs officiating. Interment was made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Natalie (Lantz) THOMPSON, 93, a resident of The Oaks at Westminster Woods in Huntingdon, died Nov. 24, 2004, at The Oaks. Mrs. Thompson had been in declining health for the past four years. Born Jan. 22, 1911, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Charles Philip Lantz and Mary (Eshelman) Lantz. She was united in marriage to James Goodhart Thompson April 20, 1935, in Charleston, Ill. Mr. Thompson preceded her in death Feb. 9, 1974. She is survived by two sons, James Lantz Thompson of Mechanicsburg and Philip Gregg Thompson, and his wife, Pamela (Kenyon), of Huntingdon. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a nephew, William Bucher of Reading. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jane (Lantz) Bucher. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Huntingdon Presbyterian Church. She served the church as a deaconess and as an elder. She was previously active in the Presbyterian Women's Association. She volunteered as a teacher in association with the Huntingdon County Literacy Council and was active with the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Huntingdon. Mrs. Thompson graduated from Eastern Illinois University and following college, pursued a career in social work in Chicago, Ill. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf. STAPLETON, 91, of Huntingdon, died Nov. 24, 2004, at Huntingdon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Huntingdon. Born Nov. 10, 1913, in Walker Twp., Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late James Hamilton and Louella Gertrude (Saylor) Stapleton. He was united in marriage to Laura Eidem Nov. 12, 1944, at the McConnellstown Methodist Church by the Rev. Krepps. He is survived by his wife of Huntingdon and four children: Lucille K. Logan, and her husband, James, of McAlisterville; Barbara A. Stapleton of Huntingdon; Randall L. Stapleton of Huntingdon. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A sister, Sylvia Robb of State College, and a brother, Carl Stapleton of McConnellstown, survive. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Herbster, and four brothers: Reed, Robert, George and Roy. Mr. Stapleton was a member of Hesston Community Chapel. He was a member of Standing Stone Post No. 1754 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Stapleton was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S Army Air Corps as a staff sergeant with the 1901st Aviation Engineer Battalion in the Pacific Theatre and during the occupation of South Korea. He was employed as a lineman/crew chief with Valley Rural Electric Cooperative, retiring in 1973 with 30 years of service. (Eichelberger SWOPE, 84, a resident of Woodland Retirement Center of Orbisonia and formerly of Robertsdale, went to be with the Lord Nov. 24, 2004, at Woodland Retirement Center following an extended illness. Born Dec. 27, 1919, in Six Mile run, she was the daughter of the late Michael Eichelberger and Emma (Walls) Eichelberger. She was united in marriage to Orville Swope who preceded her in death in March 1969. She is survived by a daughter and three sons: Wanda Parks of Pittsburgh, Franklin "Wally" Swope of Melbourne, Fla., Raymond "Puggy" Swope of Broad Top City and William Swope of Blossburg. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Sonny" Swope; a sister, Louella Heath Cooley; and a brother, John Eichelberger. Mrs. Swope was a member of WSCS ladies group of the United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the RW & BT Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and also worked at Claudia Footwear. Interment Will be made in the Broad Top City IOOF Cemetery, Broad Top City. Donald Paul EVERHART, 77, of Huntingdon, died Nov. 24, 2004, at his residence. Born April 28, 1927, in Spruce Creek, he was the son of the late Walker and Emma (Estep) Everhart. He was united in marriage to Edith Allen June 28, 1947. He is survived by his wife at home and two daughters, Carolyn Bucyniski and Peggy Everhart, both of Huntingdon. He is also survived by a grandson, Kirk Bucynski, and his wife, Toni; a granddaughter, Kara Giles, and her husband, John; two great-grandsons, Adam Bucynski and John Donald Giles; and one great-granddaughter, Kaci Fisher, all of Huntingdon. Two brothers and two sisters survive: Melvin Everhart of Petersburg, Robert Everhart of Alexandria and and Jane Rupert and Patricia Everhart, both of Petersburg. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Barr and Dorothy Halvorsen. Mr. Everhart was a member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church in Huntingdon. He served in the United States Army from July 10, 1945, to May 31, 1947. He was stationed in the European Theatre during the occupation of Germany. Mr. Everhart worked for over 40 years at Owen-Corning Fiberglas. He worked for a long number of years in the Twist and Ply Department and later as a quality control manager until his retirement in 1989. During his retirement, he worked for a number of years for Rog Garner Chevrolet and also for its successor, Team Chevrolet. Mr. Everhart played Huntingdon City League baseball for years and won the batting crown in 1956. He was later instrumental in youth sports in Huntingdon. He helped to form the Huntingdon Pee Wee Football League and also managed Huntingdon Little League for 40 years. He was a 2001 inductee in the Huntingdon County Sports Hall of Fame. He was a lifetime resident of Huntingdon County and at his Allegheny Street home for the past 50 years. In July 2004, he was honored by Huntingdon Borough with the Wanda Meyash Good Citizen Award. Private funeral services were held at the Cutright-Speck Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas C. Coleman officiating. Interment was made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Elena I. "Helen" WHITSEL, 77, of Three Springs, died Nov. 26, 2004, at her home in Cromwell Twp., Huntingdon County. Born Dec. 20, 1926, in Orbisonia, she was the daughter of the late Donato and Antoinette (Battistone) Zinobile. She was united in marriage to Stanley P. Whitsel Sr. Aug. 26, 1948. She is survived by her husband at home and three children: Deborah Shatzer of Spring Run, Stanley P. Whitsel Jr. of Three Springs, and Teresa Arnold of Chambersburg. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Stacy Shatzer Coffman, Nathan Whitsel, Zachiary Whitsel and Kaitlyn Whitsel, and three great-grandchildren: Taylor Coffman, Luke Coffman and Lane Coffman. A brother and a sister survive: Albert "Tony" Zinobile of Orbisonia and Rosie Drobnock of Mount Union. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Lee Whitsel; two brothers, John and Raymond; and two sisters, Adele Smith and Virginia Imperioli. Mrs. Whitsel was a member of Sugar Run Church of the Brethren, Mount Union. She was a member of the Mount Union Chapter of the order of the Eastern Star. Along with her husband, Mrs. Whitsel was the owner/operator of Whitsel's Economy Store, Three Springs, and was also a school bus driver for the Southern Huntingdon County School District. Interment was made in Monroe Valley Cemetery, Three Springs. Dorothy E. BOOK, 73, of Blairs Mills, died Nov. 26, 2004, at her home. Born Nov. 30, 1930, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Melvin G. and Mary E. (Fultz) Eaton. She is survived by her husband, Harold N. Book, whom she married April 4, 1950. she is also survived by five children: Janice S. Miller, and her husband, David, of Newport; Lesa B. Gray, and her husband, Albert H., of Honey Grove; Keith L. Book, and his wife, Carl, of Blairs Mills; Amy Jo Spangler, and her husband, Charles, of Scotland; and Alan H. Book, and his wife, Sarah, of Blairs Mills. Nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive as well. Two brothers survive: M. Ronald Eaton of Hummelstown and Edsel H. Eaton of Dry Run. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angela Beth Book. Mrs. Book was a member of the Richvale United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Shade Gap Fire Co. Auxiliary and the Tuscarora Grange No. 2042. She was a graduate of Orbisonia High School, Class of 1948, and for most of her life was a homemaker. Funeral services was held Nov. 28, at the John L. "Tro" FLETCHER, 47, formerly of Petersburg, passed away Nov. 26, 2004, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., due to an ongoing illness. She resided at Bumpus Mills, Tenn. Born Aug. 20, 1957, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late James H. Taylor and the late Pearl June (Grace) Taylor and the step-daughter of Elizabeth Taylor. she was united in marriage to Thomas R. Fletcher Feb. 4, 1978, at the Free Methodist Church in Huntingdon. She is survived by her husband and three children: Jacquelyn June Taylor, Christina Marie Fletcher and Ryan Jacob Fletcher. She is also survived by a grandson, Nathaniel Ryan Taylor. The following brothers and sisters survive: Gene Townsend of Bowie, Md.; James H. Taylor of Clermont, Fla.; Mrs. Russell (Lyle) EcElwee and Marla Martin, both of Bumpus Mills, Tenn.; and Mary Beth Boyle of Illinois. Mrs. Fletcher was of the Protestant faith. She attended Juniata Valley High School and was primarily a homemaker. Prior to her illness, she was employed at Fort Donelson in Dover, Tenn., restoring historical sites. ROSENBERRY, 75, of Duncansville, and formerly of Mount Union, went to be with her Lord, Nov. 27, 2004, at Altoona Regional Health Systems, Altoona Hospital Campus. Born April 21, 1929, in Mount Union, she was the daughter of the late C. Brandon and Kathleen (Longacre) Cunningham. She is survived by a daughter, Kay Coffman, and her husband, Randall, of Altoona; two grandchildren, Kevin J. Coffman of Winnipeg, Canada, and Amber Lacey of Erie; and two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Katylin. She is also survived by two sisters, Phyllis Cindric of Somerset and JoAnn Remek of Mount Union, and a brother, Frederick M. Cunningham of Mount Union. She was preceded in death by a brother and her son, William R. Rosenberry. Mrs. Rosenberry was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mount Union where she sang in the choir. She was a graduate of Mount Union High School and was employed by the G.C. Murphy Co. in Mount Union for many years. Following this, she worked for Mental Health/Mental Retardation (Skills), retiring in 1995. Donna Jean ZIMMERMAN, 63, of Mount Union, died Nov. 27, 2004, at her residence. Born Oct. 15, 1941, in Altoona, she was the daughter of Donald Clark and Bertha Reigh (Figart) Steele. She was united in marriage to George Zimmerman who preceded her in death December 2002. She is survived by two sons, Scott Wertz of Petersburg and Robert Wertz of Waynesboro, and two daughters, Sandra Wertz Kyler of Philipsburg and Suzanna Wertz Musser of Potters Mills. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One sister and three brothers survive: Lee Ann Hobble of Three Springs, Dennis Steele of Duncansville, Robert Steele of Altoona and Donald Steele of Duncansville. Mrs. Zimmerman was of the Protestant faith. She graduated from Altoona High School, Class of 1959, and was predominately a homemaker. She was an avid reader, enjoyed camping and taking excellent care of her pets. Mrs. Zimmerman had resided at her Shirley Twp. home for the past two years, having moved to Huntingdon County from Chambersburg. Funeral services and interment was private. Glenn O. HAWBAKER SR., 86, of State College, died Nov. 27, 2004, at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas. Born June 24, 1918, in Welsh Run, Franklin County, he was the son of the late Daniel M. and Ada (Hege) Hawbaker. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Thelma (Benedict) Hawbaker; a daughter, Marie H. DeVinney, and her husband, Charles, of Petersburg; three sons: Daniel R. Hawbaker, and his wife, Suzie, of Port Matilda, Glenn O. Hawbaker Jr., and his wife, Barbara, of Petersburg and Alan G. Hawbaker of Port Matilda; and one stepson, Robert Dressler, and his wife, Clara, of Mechanicsburg. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is survived by two sisters, Lois Wenger of Orlando, Fla., and Rhoda Eberly Hartman, and her husband, Richard, of Greencastle, and two sisters-in-law, Vera Hawbaker of State College and Blanche Hawbaker of Mercersburg. He was preceded in death by two brothers, J. Alvin Hawbaker, who resided in State College, and D. Elmer Hawbaker, who resided in Mercersburg. Mr. Hawbaker was a member of the McVeytown Church of the Brethren. He was a founding member of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, and was a member of the State College Elks, Mountain Acres, State College Lions Club, Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge No. 700, State College, and Consistory, Valley of Altoona and Jaffa Temple Altoona. In 1952, Mr. Hawbaker founded the paving and excavating company which bears his name, Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. Its corporate office is located in Patton Twp., Centre Country. Some of the company's larger projects are the Route 220 Bypass and the roads in Patton Twp. The Company annually supports charitable and community organizations. Mr. Hawbaker was a World War II Navy veteran, a pilot and citrus grove owner in south Texas. Funeral services were held Dec. 2, at the State College Alliance Church State College. Interment was made in Centre County Memorial Park. Jessica Nichole BECKER, 20, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. Born Nov. 10, 1984, in Altoona, she was the daughter of Rick L. Becker and Angela L. (Powers) Becker of Hagerstown. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Sandra D. Powers of Saxton; maternal grandfather, Ralph W. Powers of Paw Paw, W. Va.; paternal grandparents, Mervin J. and Kathryn D. Becker of Williamsburg; and her fiance, Frank S. Hottle Jr. of Hagerstown, Md. She was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher S. Becker in 2002. Ms. Becker was a member of the Virginia Avenue Church of God in Hagerstown, Md. She was a 2002 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and was attending Hagerstown Community College where she was majoring in early childhood education and was a dean's list student. She was employed part-time at Sears and also part-time during the summer at St. Lawrence Cement. Jo Ann CROSS, 66, of Tyrone, died Nov. 29, 2004, at Altoona Regional Health system, Bon-Secours Hospital. Born Sept. 30, 1938, in Tyrone, she was the daughter of the late Howard E. and Ethel E. (Freeman) Giver. She was united in marriage to Harry Thomas Cross Jr. April 7, 1978, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Altoona. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Linda Long, and her husband, Paul of Huntingdon, and Melodie Gay Cross of Greenville, S.C. She is also survived by a grandson, Jace Garett Long. Two sisters, Faye Blake, and her husband, James, of Williamsport and Jeannette V. Patterson of Duncansville, survive. Mrs. Cross attended the Tyrone Alliance Church and the Fuoss Mills Missionary Alliance Church. She was a 1956 graduate of Tyrone High School and a 1961 graduate of Nyack Bible College, Nyack, N.Y., where she earned a bachelor's degree in missions. Mrs. Cross retired in 2000 from Epworth Manor, Tyrone, as a social service worker following 26 years of service. She enjoyed visiting the Tyrone Senior Citizens Center and crocheting and spending time with her grandson. Funeral services were held Dec. 2, at the Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. Interment will be made in Blair Memorial Park. Elizabeth Rodgers STEINER, formerly of Huntingdon, died Nov. 29, 2004, at her home at Fayetteville, N.C. Mrs. Steiner, and her sister, Catharine Corbin, had recently moved to North Carolina to be near Mrs. Corbin's daughter and her family. Born Sept. 14, 1913, she was the daughter of the late John Martin and Clara Murray (Simpson) Rodgers. She was united in marriage Feb. 11, 1956, to John Philip Steiner at the First United Methodist Church in Huntingdon by the Rev. G. Cecil Weimer. Mr. Steiner preceded her in death March 19, 1986. She is survived by two sisters, Mr. Maxwell H. (Catharine) Corbin of Fayetteville, N.C., and Mrs. Robert W. (Mary) Geissinger of Huntingdon. One brother, John S. Rodgers, preceded her in death. Seven nieces and nephews: Mrs. Ralph (Judith Rodgers) Mueller, Mrs. Robert (Anne Corbin) Matlack, John S. Rodgers Jr., Maxwell H. Corbin Jr. Mrs. Michael (Elizabeth Geissinger) Giardinelli, Terry Daubenspeck and Debbie Daubenspeck, and their families, mourn the loss of their beloved aunt. A stepson, Steven Steiner; two brothers-in-law, R.W. Geissinger and L.D. Duabenspeck; a sister-in-law, Mrs. L.D. (Jane Steiner) Daubenspeck; and two cousins, Mrs. Leonard (Jody Barben) Fuoss and Robert Barben, also survive. Mrs. Steiner was a life-long resident of Huntingdon, having graduated from Huntingdon High School with the Class of 1931 and from Juniata College in 1935. Before her retirement, she served as executive director of the Department of Public Assistance of Huntingdon County. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Huntingdon; the standing Stone Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Juniata College Alumni Association; auxiliary to J.C Blair Memorial Hospital; Friends of the Huntingdon County Library; and numerous other service and social organizations. Graveside services were held Dec. 4, at Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Dr. Timothy W. Weitkamp officiating. Charles Lawrence "Larry" FLEMING, 51, died Nov. 29, 2004, at Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, where he had been a resident since 1985. Born Aug. 16, 1953, in Blairs Mills, he was the son of the late Ira and Kathleen (Parson) Fleming. He is survived by the following siblings: James Fleming, and his wife, Carolyn, of Blairs Mills; Anna May "Toot" Maney of McConnellsburg; Barbara Mooney and her husband, Richard, of Orbisonia; Betty Runk, and her husband, James, of Hustontown; Janet Seville, and her husband, Merrill "Buck," of McConnellsburg; Joseph Fleming, and his wife, Marlene, of Orbisonia; Karen "Sue" Chapman, and her husband, Gerald, of Blairs Mills; Connie Gibbons, and her husband, Merle, of Gardners; and Richard Fleming, and his wife, Peggy, of Dry Run. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. One brother, Darrell Gene "Doc" Fleming, and one sister, Mary Espenshade, preceded him in death. Mr. Fleming was a member of the Nossville United Methodist Church. He was born with cerebral palsy, but enjoyed many activities. He was the second resident guest at the opening of Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia in 1985, where he become close friends with staff and other residents. He also enjoyed activities at Raystown Development Services. He learned to use the computer for games and writing notes to family and friends. He communicated with his word board and electronic touch talker. Mr. Fleming loved hunting and fishing and visiting acquaintances at the Nossville and Shade Gap picnics. He was a Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan along with being an avid Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Penn State Fan. Funeral services were held Dec. 3, at the Nossville United Methodist Church, Blairs Mills, with the Rev. Michelle Zearing officiating. Interment was made in Shade Valley Cemetery, Blairs Mills. Elma B. MCCLAIN, 85, of Mount Union, died Nov. 30, 2004, at Woodland Retirement Center in Orbisonia. Born March 15, 1919, in Mount Union, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Margaret E. (Flood) Locke. She was united in marriage to Dr. Fred H. McClain Jr. Nov. 25, 1943, at the First United Methodist Church in Mount Union. Dr. McClain preceded her in death Oct. 11, 1989. She is survived by two sons, Fred L. McClain, and his wife, Sandra, of Rockhill Furnace, and Frank H. McClain, and his wife, Sherry, of Churchville, N.Y. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Thomas McClain, and his wife, Marie; Mellisa McClain, Marshall McClain and Marcy McClain, and one great-grandchild, Nathanel McClain. One sister, Ethel Gabert, and one brother, Glenn Locke, both of Mount Union, survive. A sister, Naomi Mowery, preceded her in death. Mrs. McClain was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mount Union. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 280, Mount Union, with 50 years of service. She was also a member of the Mount Union Arts Guild, the Mount Union Ladies Golf Association, the Mount Union Ladies Auxiliary to the American Legion, the Mount Union Alumni Associating, the Mount Union Historical Society and the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. McClain was also a James E. West Fellow, Boy Scouts of America. She was a graduate of Mount Union High School, Class of 1937, and Shippensburg State Teachers College. Mrs. McClain was employed as an elementary school teacher earlier in her life in the Mount Union Area School District. She enjoyed painting and doing crafts. Funeral services were held Dec. 3, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Elaine P. Africa officiating. Interment will be made in Mount Union Cemetery. Olive A. FUHR, 79, of Three Springs, died Nov. 30, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born Aug. 9, 1935, in Rockhill Furnace, she was the daughter of the late Blaine and Verna (Pyles) Rogers. She was united in marriage to Owen G. Fuhr Sept. 13, 1944, in Mount Union. She is survived by her husband at home. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur and Howard, and two sisters, Ruth Anderson and Tressa Watkins. Along with being a homemaker, Mrs. Fuhr was employed by L. Greif Bros. Manufacturing, Mount Union; General Motors Inc., Trenton, N.J.; and Bartch Co. and the Flemington Sewing Factory, both in New Jersey. Funeral services were held Dec. 4, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Interment will be made in the IOOF Memorial Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace. Helen L. (Harris) CHATFIELD, 89, of Indiana, died Nov. 30, 2004, at St. Andrew's Village in Indiana. Born Dec. 15, 1914, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of James Porter Harris and Caroline (Grahm) Harris. She was united in marriage to Charles A. Chatfield Oct. 19, 1937, in Huntingdon. Mr. Chatfield preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy H. Lukehart, and her husband, Richard M., of Indiana, and a son, James A. Chatfield, and his wife, Amber M., of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Lynne Hill, and her husband, Chester, of Lucernemines: Chip Lukehart, and his wife, Barbara, of Bel Air, Md.; Daniel Lukehart, and his wife, Laura, of Pittsburgh; James A. Chatfield II, and his wife, Denisia, of San Diego, Calif.; and Jeffrey A. Chatfield of Boston, Mass; and eight great-grandchildren. A daughter-in-law, Alison Chatfield of St. Combs, Scotland, survives. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, David A. Chatfield. Mrs. Chatfield was a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church in Indiana. She was also a member of AARP. She graduated from Huntingdon High School with the Class of 1934 and had worked in retail sales for both the Brody's and Molly Ann stores. Mrs. Chatfield was also an avid card player. Funeral services were held in Indiana and interment was made in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
