Heffner, who spent nearly all his life in Clay township, and who only went to live with his daughter Mrs. Taylor Smith, near Williamsburg, ten days or two weeks ago, died Sunday night last at the latter place. Mr. Heffner was aged 79 years. He was well and favorably known to nearly all the people in and around Clay township. Deceased's wife died about twenty-five years ago and he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Asher Drake, Clay township; Mrs. William Parks, Newton Hamilton; Mrs. Taylor Smith, Mrs. Alice Smith and Mrs. Samuel Cooper, of near Williamsburg; Mrs. Annie Smith, of Duncansville; Mrs. Rachel Price, of Texas; Taylor, of Huntingdon; Thomas, of Elizabeth Furnace, and David, of Jersey Shore. The remains were received at this place over the Petersburg branch Tuesday night, and yesterday morning were conveyed to Saltillo for interment. The Huntingdon Monitor, Thursday, April 23, 1903
