MRS. ELIZABETH HESS

Died at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. 
George Hickes of Coalmont, Huntingdon county.  She was born near McAlevy's 
Fort, Huntingdon county, Dec. 18, 1838.  She is survived by one son, James 
N. Hess of Louisville, Ky., one daughter, Mrs. Hickes at whose home she 
died, and one brother, James G. Gillan of Tyrone.  Her husband died nine 
years ago.  The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from 
the Coalmont Methodist church, with interment to be made at Saxton.
