HICKS

  Miss Viola Hicks died on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from the effects of 
Spanish influenza and pneumonia.  Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. J. J. Hicks, of Mount Union, to which town they had moved some 
time ago from Grafton, this county.  She was aged about seven years.  
The father and mother are also ill with the same disease, the former 
being at the home, and the latter in the hospital.  The funeral took 
place on Thursday following, and was conducted by the Rev. S. S. 
Carnel.
