Horn, 81, of PO Box Allenport, Mount Union, died at 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2002, at the Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, following a lengthy illness. The funeral service was held March 20 at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Richard Sauls officiating. Interment was made in Haven Rest Memorial Park, RD1 Shirleysburg. Born April 1, 1920, in Mount Union, he was the son of the late Isaac Steven Horn and Hanna Elizabeth (McElwee) Horn Norris. He was united in marriage to Betty Jane (Clevenger) Horn on June 28, 1938, in Mount Union. His wife preceded him in death on June 14, 1994. He is survived by his daughter, Ellen Pauline Soult of RD Mount Union, and two grandchildren who were raised in the home: Frankie Jane Soult of RD Mount Union and Candas Arlene Suders of Carlisle. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren and three sisters: Marguerite Norris of RD Mount Union, Phyllis JoAnn Spangler of Newark, Del., and Connie Ressler of Orbisonia. Mr. Horn was preceded in death by the following brother and sisters: Robert Horn, Thelma Grace Norris and Betty Taylor. Mr. Horn was employed by Local 542 International Union of Operating Engineers for 40 years as a heavy equipment operator. Prior to this, he had worked at the Harbison-Walker Refractories, Mount Union. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Orbisonia. The Valley Log, Orbisonia, Pa., March 20, 2002
