Gilbert Horning, of Barree township, Huntingdon county, a highly- respected farmer and father of Gilbert Horning, formerly of this city, died of cancer in the head, on Sunday evening, in the 65th year of his age. Mr. Horning suffered for years from this cancer, and his death was not unexpected. He bought his own coffin some time ago, and gave minute directions about his funeral. Mr. Gilbert Horning, of Barree township, Huntingdon county, whose death was recently noted in the TRIBUNE, died of a disease known among physicians as "lupus" or wolf.
