HOUCK DIES IN SPRUCE CREEK VALLEY Joseph Elmer Houck, Spruce Creek Valley, died at his home Saturday night at 10:30 o'clock following an illness of over a year. He was born June 28, 1898 at Franklinville, son of Frank E. and Rose Peed Houck. On Jan. 18, 1919 at Bedford, he married Anna M. Johnston. Surviving are the widow, the parents, two sons: Alvin J. Houck and Glenn E. Houck, at home; three brothers and two sisters: Walter Houck, Martinsburg; Jesse R. Houck., Akron, Ohio; William Houck, Tyrone; Mrs. George Hildebrand, Tyrone; Mrs. John Shepperd, Franklinville; also four grandchildren. Mr. Houck was a farmer, a member of the Graysville Presbyterian church, a director of the Interstate Milk Producers Association, and had been a school director for the Warriors Mark-Franklin township school since 1934.
