He was born in Todd township, Huntingdon county, on June 10, 1866, a son of John and Sarah (Fisher) Crisswell. He was married to Margaret Shultz on Sept. 21, 1890, at Entriken. Mr. Crisswell was a member of St. Matthew's Reformed church and of the Marklesburg grange. Surviving are the widow and the following children: Charles Crisswell of Williamsburg, Mrs. Walter Hess of Evertt, A. Ross Crisswell of Marklesburg, Mrs. Ross Negley of Altoona and a step-son, C.A.Reed of Entriken. Surviving also are twenty-one grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Anna Weaver of Saxton. and two brothers, Charles Crisswell of Windber and Marshall Crisswell of Yeagertown. Friends are being received at the family home. Andrew Edwards, employed for several years at Pitcairn, a resident of Grafton where his family has continued to reside, died very suddenly Friday, May 7th at ten o'clock, from heart trouble. He had worked all day Friday. He was the son on David and Elizabeth Edwards and was born in Hopewell township. He was aged 54 years and ten months. The remains were brought to his home in Grafton Sunday evening. He was united in marriage thirty-two years ago to Maggie Morgan, a daughter of William and Susan Morgan, of Grafton. To this union thirteen children were born, of which twelve survive,--Nevin and Elvin, twins, Melvin and Dale, all at home; Mrs. James Stapleton, of Trough Creek; Mrs Jesse Bolinger, Mrs. Lawrence McGraw, William Edwards, Howard Edwards, Joseph Edwards, John Edwards, Miss Alice Edwards, all of Pitcairn. He is also survived by three brothers and three sisters-- John Edwards, of Huntingdon; William Edwards, of Martinsburg; Solomon Edwards, of Hopewell township; Mrs. George Mountain, of Saxton; Mrs. Nannie Darmon, of Duquesne; Mrs. Frank Gill, near Grafton. He was a memeber of the Reformed church, where the funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. D.E.Master, with interment in the Reformed church cemetery at Marklesburg. Mrs. Sarah Belle Fisher, widow of Jackson Fisher, and one of Penn township's highly esteemed ladies passed away at her home near Hesston, on Thursday afternoon, April 15, 1937, at 4:10 o'clock. Mrs. fisher had been ill since November and death was due to the infirmiries incident to old age. She was born at Marklesburg, Huntingdon county on May 4, 1860, daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Baker) Swope, both deceased. At the time of death she was aged 76 years, 11 months and 11 days. On July 15, 1877 she was unitd in marriage with Jackson Fisher who preceded her in death on February 27, 1925. Mrs. fisher spent her entire life in Huntingdon county and most of it at the home where she expired. She was a devout and faithful member of the Saint Jacob's Reformed Church at White Church, having joined on October 21, 1883. She was always willing to lend a helping hand in time of sickness, death or dire need. She will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends, neighbors and a bereaved family. She leaves to mourn her passing nine children: Mrs. Luther (Malinda) McCall, of Martinsburg; Jackson Harker Fisher, of Philadelphia; Lawrence Swope fisher, of Hesston; Mrs. Leslie (Sarah Blanche) Rinker, of Mapleton, Mrs. Blandon (_innie Belle) Cunningham, of Spruce Creek; Mrs. Preston (Anna Luella) Acker, of Martinsburg; Chester Irvin fisher, of Stonerstown, Blair Leslie Fisher and Philip Carl Fisher, of Hesston. Two children, Mrs. Daniel (Maggie) McCall and Mary Ellen Fisher, preceded their mother in death a number of years ago. One brother, George Swope, of California, and fifty-five grandchildren and eighteen great grndchildren, also survive. Short prayer services were held at the Fisher home on Saturday morning, April 17, 1937, at 10 o'clock, and services at the Saint Jacob's Church on Piney Ridge, near Hesston, were at 10:30 o'clock. The Rev. Irvin Brumbaugh officiated. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. Bechtel's funeral service. Mrs. Mary E. Johnson, widow of A.C. Johnson who preceded her in death thirteen years ago, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.C. Gutshall, of 1110 Pennsylvania avenue, South Huntingdon,Thursday evening, November 24, 1938 at 4:45 o'clock. Death was due to a complication of diseases which extended over a period of several years. The deceased was born at Drifting, Clearfield county, on February 27, 1867 and was aged at the time of her death 71 years, 8 months and twenty-seven days. She leaves to mourn her passing the following sons and daughters: Agnes (Mrs. G.C.Wakefield), of Altoona; Leroy W. Johnson, of McConnellstown; Clair C. Johnson, of Huntingdon; Leah (Mrs. J. W. Eckley), Mapleton; Mildred (Mrs. R.S. Gutshall, of South Huntingdon. Eleven grandchildren survive. She is also survived by three brothers and two sisters: Joseph Raymond, of Drifting; A.L. Raymond, of Clearfield; Daniel Raymond, of Philipsburg; Mrs. Elizabeth Walters, of Oregon, and Mrs. Ella Little, of Drifting. Friends may call at the Dick funeral home anytime until Monday morning at 10 a.m., when services will be held at the Holy Trinity Catholic church conducted by the Rev. Edmund L. Cain. Burial will be made in Riverview cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth Margaret Kring, wife of Lawrence Kring, died at her home in Aitch, Huntingdon county, Sunday morning at 1 o'clock, death being attributed to a complication of ailments. She was born in Altoona on Aug. 13, 1902, a daughter of George and Catherine (Hibner) Lilly, and was united in marriage with Lawrence A. Kring at Cumberland, Md., on March 1, 1922. Surviving are the husband and her father and step-mother, Mrs. Bertha Lilly, and these children: Elizabeth L., Margaret Blanche, Rebecca Jane, Catherine Isabelle and Ella Ruth Kring, all at home, and four brothers, George Lilly of Reading, William Lilly of Hollidaysburg, Edward Lilly of Altoona and Charles Lilly of Chicago. Mrs. Kring was a member of the Lutheran church. Friends are being received at the home in Aitch. Mrs. Mary Margaret (Moore) Lott, wife of Ethan A. Lott, died at her home in Hesston this morning, February 9, 1937, at 3:10 o'clock. Death was due to a heart attack. Mrs. Lott was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Moore, both deceased, and was born in Huntingdon on Sept. 3, 1888. At the time of her death she was aged 48 years, 5 months and 7 days. She was united in marriage to E.A. Lott on June 18, 1913 at Huntingdon. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance church at Huntingdon. Besides her husband she is survived by the following children: Russell B., Leona, Virginia; Fredrick, Robert and Alice, wife of Dan Moffett, of 322 Church street. All the children except Mrs. Moffett reside at Hesston. Four grandchildren also survive. Mrs Lott is survived by one brother, Fred Moore, of Huntingdon. Funeral services will be held on thursday afternoon, Feb. 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the Huff funeral home in Saxton. Rev. A.M. Baggett will conduct the services and interment will be made in the Riverview cemetery at Huntingdon. Mrs. Sarah Alice Magill, a lifelong resident of Marklesburg, died at her home yesterday evening, November 4, 1940, at 5 o'clock. Death resulted from a cerebral hemorrhage. A daughter of Solomon and Mary M. (Yocum) Lininger, she was born in Walker township, Huntingdon county, on October 10, 1876, being aged at the time of death 64 years, twenty-four days. She was united in marriage to Charles W. Magill on December 23, 1916 at McConnellstown, the ceremony having been performed by the Rev. Mr. Wetzel. Her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by three sisters: Mrs. E.D. Grove, of Huntingdon R.D.4; Mrs. D.W. Patterson, of Osceola Mills, and Miss Lottie Lininger, of Marklesburg, and one brother Frank Y. Lininger, of Trenton, N.J. A sister, Mrs. D.M. Summers is deceased. Mrs. Magill was a faithful and devout member of the Marklesburg Lutheran church. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at her late home in Marklesburg, conducted by the Rev. Jerome Guss, assisted by the Rev. Charles Huyette and the Rev. J. W. Meisley. Interment will be made in the Stone Church cemetery, directed by Huff's funeral home. Friends are being received at the home anytime. Please omit flowers. Raymond Ross Maloney of Entriken passed away at 10 p.m., Monday, October 21, 1946. Son of James and Alice (Thompson) Maloney, he was born on December 24, 1873, in Huntingdon county. He married Ella Catherine Brode on April 4, 1895. His wife and four children are surviving: Mrs. Lavinnie Hurley, Saxton; Mrs. Harvey Stone, Williamsburg; Franklin E. and Chalmer Earl Maloney, both of Entriken. There are also these half-brothers and half-sisters: Charles Morningstar, Huntingdon; Homer Morningstar, Altoona; Philip Morningstar and Mrs. Mathias Everhart, both of Entriken; Frank Morningstar, Middletown; Mrs. Margaret Hicks, Williamsburg; and Robert Fair, Selinsgrove. The Rev. Kenneth Gombert will conduct the funeral service in the Marklesburg Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Entriken cemetery. Friends may call at the Huff funeral chapel, Saxton, until 11 a.m. Thursday. Mrs. Anna (Fagan) Matson of Murrysville, Westmoreland County, died in the Columbia Hospital in Wilkinsburg Tuesday morning, February 1, 1944 at 4:20 a.m. after an illness of two weeks. Born on July 18, 1910 at Wertz in Blair County, Mrs. Matson was aged 33 years, six months, and fourteen days. Mrs. Matson was the daughter of the late Harry A. Fagan and Mary (Edmiston) Fagan of Huntingdon. She is survived by her husband, Elmer L. Matson, and by two sons by a former marriage: Harry A. Christine who is with the U.S. Marines at Hawaii; and David M. Christine, at home. Her mother, Mrs. Mary E. Fagan, Huntingdon, and four sisters and three brothers also survive as follows: Mrs. Richard Geissinger and Mrs. Dorothy States, both of Huntingdon; Mrs. James Miller and Miss Sally Ilene Fagan of Detroit, Mich., William E. Fagan, Huntingdon; Ralph C. Fagan, with the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific; and Samuel D. Fagan of Detroit, Mich. Mrs. Matson was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Huntingdon and the Women of the Loyal Order of the Moose, also of Huntingdon. Friends may call at the late home in Murrysville where the funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at two-thirty with the Rev. E.L. Ralston of the United Presbyterian Church of Murrysville in charge. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery of Delmont. William Lawrence McBride, of Derry, was killed in a railroad accident at Bradenville on Saturday evening, November 16, 1940, about 10 o'clock. The nature of the tragedy is not certain, but it is thought that Mr. McBride, was struck by a train while walking on the tracks of the Pittsburgh division on the Pennsylvania railroad. A son of Philip Sheridan McBride and Edith Murray McBride, he was born in Seward, Pa., on January 23, 1892. At the time of death he was aged 48 years, nine months and twenty-four days. He is survived by three brothers; Lester, Humbert and Curry McBride, all of Aitch, and two sisters; Mrs. Savannah Clark, of Latrobe and Mrs. Mary DeMiller. Funeral services will be held in Huff's funeral chapel on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Union cemetery at Marklesburg. Friends are being received at the Huff funeral chapel until the hour of the service. William Luther McCall died at his late home near Martinsburg, on Saturday, August 3, 1935 at 11:45 a.m., after a lingering illness of complications. He was born in Penn township, Huntingdon county, on March 2, 1874 a son of Alexandria and and Ellen (Morris) McCall, both deceased. At the time of death he was 61 years, 4 months and 1 day. Surviving besides his wife, Malinda F. McCall, are the following children, Mrs. Calvin Kelly of near Martinsburg, David I. McCall of Huntingdon, Mrs. Joseph Snively of Williamsburg, Mrs. Paul Lacrone, of Alexandria, Melvin, Lewis, Alice, Florence, Ernest and Herman all at home. Also surviving are one brother, Herman McCall of Williamsburg and one sister, Mrs. Samuel Bowman, of South Huntingdon. The McCalls resided in Penn township for some time, later moving to near Martinsburg, where Mr. McCall has followed his life's occupation, that of farming. He was a kind and loving husband and father, always ready to lend a helping hand to any neighbors whom he could assist in any way. Short prayer services will be held at the late home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. from which place the funeral cortege will go to White Church where further services will be held at 2:30 o'clock, with interment in adjoining cemetery. Dorothy M. McElwain--Despondency over ill health resulted in the tragic death of Dorothy Miller McElwain, of 36 Standing Stone avenue, whose lifeless body was discovered in a bedroom of her home at noon yesterday. It was thought that death occured about 9:30 a.m. coroner William B. West announced that Miss McElwain had died by her own hand with a revolver. The young girl was a graduate of Huntingdon high school in the class of 1937, and had attended Shippensburg State Teacher's College for three years in preparation for the teaching profession. This fall she accepted the position of teacher of the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades in the McVeytown schools, but was forced to resign in November because of the state of her health. Dorothy M. McElwain was born in Huntingdon on April 22, 1919, the only child of R. Edward and Olive Miller McElwain. At the time of death she was aged 21 years, 9 months. Her mother preceded her in death ten years ago. During her years at school, Miss McElwain had received fine grades and was well liked by her teachers and fellow students. At college she was a member of the Women's Athletic Association and took an active part in dramatics. She was a memeber of the St. James Lutheran church. Family and friends alike are shocked and grieved by her untimely passing. Surviving are her father, R.E. McElwain; an uncle, S.E. McElwain, of Huntingdon, and two aunts, Mrs. Ruth Foor and Mrs. Edna Beasom, both of Altoona. Funeral services will be held at Brown's funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. Dr. E.L. Manges. Burial will be made in Riverview cemetery. Mrs. Clara Jane (Gill) Merritt, wife of Andrew Merritt, died at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 1944, at her home, 207 small Street, Mount Union. She had been ill for two weeks. She was born in Marklesburg on December 29, 1866, the daughter of Samuel Gill and Annie (Stover) Gill. At time of death she was aged 77 years and 27 days. On June 4, 1885, at Huntingdon, She was married to Andrew Merritt and they established their home at Hesston where Mr. Merritt was employed as an ore miner. In later years they moved to Mount Union where they have resided ever since. Surviving are her husband, Andrew Merritt and these children: Mrs. Dave Isenberg, Mill Creek; Mrs. May Grove, Mount Union; Mrs. Harry Wasson, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Clarence Gordon, McConnellstown; Glen Merritt, Huntingdon; Mrs. Warren Grove, Mount Union; and Mrs. Ray Criswell, Huntingdon. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren, and six brother and three sisters: Frank Gill, Huntingdon; James Gill, Hesston; Wesley Gill, Kansas city, Kans.; Clement Gill, Huntingdon; John Gill, Huntingdon; Andy Gill, McConnellstown; Mrs. Marie Gahagan, McConnellstown; Mrs. Cora Schell, Aitch; and Mrs. Lydia Green, McConnellstown. Mrs. Merritt was a member of the Mount Union Christian Alliance Church and was active as a teacher in the church school and in other work of the church for the past thirty-six years. She was a kind and loving mother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The funeral service will be held at the Merritt home at 2:30 Friday afternoon the Rev. Richard Abrams, pastor of the Mount Union Christian Alliance Church, officiating. Interment will be made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Mount Union. Clark Service. Friends are being received at the late residence. Samuel Earl Merritt, died at his home, 207 Small Street, Mount Union at 4 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 1943, after an illness of eight weeks. He was the son of Andrew and Clara Gill Merritt, and was born on May 1, 1893 at Hesston. He is survived by his parents and by these sisters and brother: Mrs. Maud Isenberg, Mill Creek; Mrs. Mae Grove, Mount Union; Mrs. Ethel Grove, Mount Union; Mrs. Pearl Wasson, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Lena Gordon, Mcconnellstown; Glen Merritt at home; and Mrs. Cecil Stevens, Huntingdon. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the late residence, the Rev. Richard Abrams of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church officiating. Interment will be made in Odd Fellows Cemetery by Clark's funeral service. Friends will be received at the late home after seven o'clock this evening. John Porter Merritts passed away on Sunday, May 2, 1943, at the residence of Lawrence Fisher of Hesston where he had made his home for the last twelve years. Mr. Merritts suffered a stroke on October 8, 1941, and had been in failing health ever since. The deceased was the son of George and Elizabeth (Russler) Merritts, both of whom are deceased. He was born at Alexandria on May 31, 1869. At time of death he was aged 73 years, 11 months and one day. He was united in marriage with Nancy Jane Parks, daughter of Anthony and Nancy Parks of near Brumbaugh Crossing at their home by the Rev. Mr. Heffley of Marklesburg. Mrs. Merritts passed away while they lived in Canton, Ohio, a number of years ago. After her death Mr. Merritts returned to Huntingdon County where he spent most of his time. Mr. Merritts joined the Brethren Church while living in Williamsburg R.D. In later years he had his membership transferred to the James Creek Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his four sons: Anthony Lester Merritts, 816 Union Avenue, S.W., Canton, Ohio; Earl Thomas Merritts, East Canton, Ohio; Carl John Merritts, 822 Mahoning Road, Canton, Ohio; Luther Elliot Merritts, Huntingdon R.D. 3. A daughter Annie Susan Merritts is deceased. One brother, Oscar D. Merritts of Twin Rocks and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Betts of Entriken and Mrs. Wilbur (Ettee) Houck of Petersburg and six grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at the Bechtel Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The body will be shipped to Canton, Ohio, for interment. The Rev. W.H.Sowash will be in charge of the services. Friends may call at the funeral home any time until the hour of the service. George C. Morningstar, lifelong and highly respected citizen of Entriken, Pa., died at the Green Cross Hospital, Akron, Ohio, October 28, 1943. He was born in Penn township, April 24, 1879, the son of Luden Morningstar and Ellen (Garner) Morningstar, both deceased. At the time of death he was aged 64 years, 6 months and 4 days. He was united in marriage to Amanda C. Morningstar who survives with the following children: H. Dewey Morningstar of Aitch; Mrs. John (Mae) Heffner of Huntingdon; Mrs. Samuel (Violet) Donnelly of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Carl (Gladys) Morrison of Huntingdon; Mrs. Dean (Beatrice) Lohr of Aliquippa; Mrs. Mearl (Mildred) Isett of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Allen (Olive) Fouse of James Creek; Gilbert Morningstar of Entriken; Cecil Morningstar of Entriken; Mrs. Edwin (Alverta) Oldham of Aliquippa; Mrs. Boyd (Ann) Lohr of Aliquippa; Mrs. Ned (Alice) Reed of Akron, Ohio; Miss Betty Morningstar of Akron, Ohio. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and one brother, Irvin Morningstar of Newburg. Mr. Morningstar was affiliated with the Methodist church of Entriken and his sudden death will be a great shock to his many friends and relatives. Mr. Morningstar followed the occupation of farming through out his entire life. He also operated a threshing machine in Woodcock Valley. The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Evangelical and Reformed Church at Entriken, the Rev. Myers officiating. Mr. Myers will be assisted by Rev. C.A. Huyette. Friends will be received at the home after 6:00 o'clock Saturday evening. Jesse B. Morningstar of Petersburg passed away in th J.C. Blair Hospital at Huntingdon on Saturday evening, Oct. 19, 1946, at 5 o'clock. He was a former resident of Entriken. He had been a medical patient in the hospital several days. Jesse B. Morningstar was a son of William F. and Margaret (McCray) Morningstar, and was born in Lincoln township, March 15, 1911. At the time of death he was aged 35 years, 7 months and four days. He was united in marriage to Naomi Port on August 10, 1932, at cumberland, Md. Surviving besides his parents and wife are the following children: Phyllis, Robert, Doris, Larry, Mabel and Norman Morningstar, all at home. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. R. S. Crownover, of Saxton; Mrs. John Everhart, Mrs. Grant Dix, and Elvin Morningstar, all of Westminster, Md.; Mrs. Clair Ramsey, of Baltimore, Md.; Carl Morningstar, of Saxton; Charles Morningstar, of Williamsburg; John Morningstar, of Marklesburg. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist Church at Entriken, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Gombert. Interment in the Entriken Cemetery. Friends may call at the Huff Funeral Home in Saxton until noon on Tuesday, at which time the body will be taken to the church for services. Mrs. Jennie Mae Mosser, wife of A.C. Mosser of 1327 Oneida Street, Huntingdon, died at her home at 5:30 o'clock this Thursday morning, April 8, 1948. Death was due to a heart condition. She was born on April 5, 1880, in Juniata Township, a daughter of John Calvin and Sarah A. Corbin. On November 29, 1900, she was united in marriage with A.C. Mosser in Juniata Township. The Rev. D.S.Bagshaw officiated. In addition to her husband, two nieces who were raised in the Mosser home are surviving, Mrs. Gertrude Corbin Baker of Huntingdon, and Mrs. Verna Corbin Staubs of Detroit, Michigan, as well as other nieces and nephews. Two sisters also survive: Mrs. Bertha Kensinger and Mrs. David Johnson, both of Huntingdon. Mrs. Mosser attended the Juniata Township school. She was a member of the Abbey Reformed Church, the W.C.T.U., GAR, Mother's Club and Lady Della Rebekah Lodge, all of Huntingdon. She was active in all those organizations and in the church activities until her health failed during the past year. Funeral services will be held in the Bechtel funeral home in Huntingdon at 3:30 o'clock on Saturday. The Rev. R.A. Zimmerman will officiate and interment will be made in the Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening and at the Mosser home after 4:30 o'clock on Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday. Memorial services will be held by the GAR at 7:30 o'clock on Friday evening at the Mosser residence. Samuel Franklin Moyer died at his home in Walker township on Monday afternoon, August 17, 1936 at 3:30 p.m., after an illness of several months. Mr. Moyer had been bedfast one week; death was due to complications. He was born in Penn township, Huntingdon county, on December 3, 1859 and was at the time of his death aged 76 years, 8 months and 14 days. He was a son of Peter and Sarah (Grubb) Moyer. Mr. Moyer was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Reformed church of McConnellstown, Pa. He was a resident of Penn and Walker townships his entire life, and resided on the farm where he died for the past 45 years. He led an active life, serving as school director in Walker township for 20 years and as secretary of the township road supervisors for 16 years. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minerva (Hamor) Moyer, one daughter, Mrs. Theresa Boring of Walker township and two sisters, Mrs. Minerva Hess, of Hesston and Mrs. Henry Guyer, of Saulsburg, and by six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Reformed church at McConnellstown on Thursday, August 20, at 2:30 p.m. o'clock, conducted by his pastor, the Rev. Ronald Yocom. Interment in the Methodist cemetery at McConnellstown. Temple's service. William Moyer, 81, a highly respected resident of the Hesston community, where he had spent his entire life, died Sunday, August 14, 1938, a 6 o'clock p.m., death being due to a stroke of apoplexy. A son of Shettle Moyer and Elizabeth (Shontz) Moyer, he was born in Entriken on December 19, 1856. He was married to Elizabeth Straitiff on March 10, 1889. Mrs. Moyer survives, also three children: Harry Moyer and Mrs. Grace Bender, both of Hesston and Walter Moyer, of Saxton. He was aged 81 years, 7 months and 25 days. Mr. Moyer was held in high esteem by his neighbors and all who knew him. He was a member of the Reformed church. The funeral service will be held at the residence Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. A.M. Baggett. Interment in the Grove cemetery at Heston by Huff's funeral service. Joseph G.W. Norris passed away at his late home in Hesston, Pa., Huntingdon county on Tuesday afternoon, November 30, 1937, at 12:30 o'clock. Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage. He was born in Penn township, Huntingdon county on July 15, 1860, a son of Thomas and Nancy (Snyder) Norris, both deceased. At the time of death he was aged 77 years, 4 months and 15 days. Mr. Norris was a faithful and devout member of the Church of the Brethren at Brumbaugh's Crossing. A well known and highly respected citizen of the county Mr. Norris followed the trade of a blacksmith. His passing is indeed keenly felt by his family and a host of friends. His wife, Mrs. Malinda (Fisher) Norris preceded him in death on June 17, 1936. Surviving to mourn his passing are two sons, William E. Norris, of Altoona, and J. Foster Norris, of Hesston, one brother, J. Martin Norris, of near Marklesburg, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Brown's funeral service. Melvin Leroy Norris, infant son of Lester G. and Sarah (Garner) Norris of James Creek, passed away at his home yesterday morning, August 18, 1948, at 10:30 o'clock. He was born on June 6, 1948, at James Creek, thus was aged at time of death two months and twelve days. He is survived by his parents and one brother and one sister, Cloyd and Lottie, at home. John Park of Duquesne, former resident of Saxton, died in a Pittsburgh hospital Friday morning, Oct. 31, 1947. Mr. Park died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nora Ramsey, 1105 Kennedy Avenue, Duquesne, Friday morning. He was born in Entriken on May 7, 1861, the son of Alex and Beuhela (Snare) Park. His wife, the former Emma Johnson, preceded him in death. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Ramsey, and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Martha E. Peightel, formerly of McConnellstown, died in the Harrisburg Hospital at 4:30 Wednesday morning, February 20, 1946. She had been a patient there for five years. She was born on March 24, 1861, at McConnellstown, the daughter of Thomas Hamer and Elizabeth Grove Hamer. Her husband, William M. Peightel, preceded her in death on November 6, 1932. Surviving are two daughters and one son: Margaretta (Mrs. Edgar H. Lininger), Altoona; Mary (Mrs. Eldon Hickes), 106 State Street, Mount Union; and Paul Peightel, 427 Washington Street, Huntingdon. Also surviving are three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Peightel was a member of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church, McConnellstown, and of the Ladies Aid Society of that church. Ophelia Margaret Pressler, of Huntingdon, passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. Blanche Mills, 325 Church Street, early Wednesday morning, November 14, 1945 at 12:05 o'clock. Death was due to a stroke and heart attack. The deceased had been ill for several months and on May 28, 1945 suffered a stroke and heart attack. Ophelia Margaret Pressler was a daughter of William Wilson and Viola Smith (Moore) Pressler, both deceased, and was born in Michigan on January 2, 1868. She was aged at the time of her death 77 years, 10 months and 12 days. She never married. For sixty years she was a resident of Newton Hamilton, Mifflin County, where she was a member of the Methodist church. Funeral services will be held at Brown's funeral home on Friday, November 16, 1945, at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made at the Methodist cemetery at Newton Hamilton. Friends may view the body at Brown's funeral home from Thursday until the hour of the service. Mrs. Martha Alice Price, Huntingdon R.D.1, widow of Guy Price, died in the J.C. Blair Hospital at 3:55 p.m. on sunday, July 8, 1945. She was born on January 10, 1897, in Hesston, the daughter of Luden and Elizabeth Garner. She was united in marriage to Guy Price in a service performed at his home in Hesston, the Rev, Mr. Horn officiating. Mr. Price preceded her in death eleven years ago. Surviving are three children: Paul Price of James Creek; Miss Betty Jean Price, at home; and Junior Frederick Price, in the United States Army, now serving in Germany. Also surviving are a brother and a sister: William Garner, Harrisburg; and Mrs. John Itinger, Huntingdon, and three grandchildren. Mrs. Price was educated in the Hesston schools. Putt, of Saxton R.D., died Tuesday morning, January 21, 1941, at Shirleysburg, of a heart condition. He was born in Hopewell township, Huntingdon county, on September 28, 1862, a son of John and Elizabeth (Rightnour) Putt. At the time of death he was aged 78 years, three months and twenty-three days. Mr. Putt had been a lifelong resident of Saxton. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the Huff funeral chapel, in charge of the Rev. W.D. Sheets. Interment will be made in the Fockler cemetery. Friends are being received at the Huff chapel until the hour of the service. David B. Querry, highly respected citizen of Huntingdon county, died last night at 8:10 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. R.C. Russell, at Hesston, Huntingdon county, of a complication of ailments incident to an advanced age. Mr. Querry was born in Lincoln township, Huntingdon county, on Oct. 19, 1861, a son of David B. and Sarah (Bookwalter) Querry. He was married to Miss Emma Donelson, who died twenty years ago. Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Melvin D. of Williamsport, Alton W. and David L., both of Altoona, Mrs. W.H. Barnett of McKeesport, Mrs. Eva Fay of Williamsburg, and Mrs. R.C. Russell, at whose home he died. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and several half brothers and sisters. Mr. Querry was a lifelong member of the Methodist church at Entriken and was a staunch Republican, serving as Huntingdon county auditor and several terms as jury commissioner. He was a foreman for the highway department for a period of twenty-five years. Isaiah Lehman Richardson died at his home at Aitch on Wednesday evening, August 25, 1943 at 10:15. His death was due to complications and he had been in ill health since June. Isaiah Lehman Richardson was born in Huntingdon County on August 7, 1868, the son of Harrison and Sarah (Hendershot) Richardson both deceased, and at time of death was aged seventy-five years and nineteen days. He was united in marriage with Sarah shultz on March 19, 1891 by the Rev. Mathew Boyer of Marklesburg. He is survived by his wife and the following daughters: Carrie and Flora at home and Mrs. Preston Greene of Altoona. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs George Emigh of Altoona and Mrs. Ida Gosnel of Aitch, and one grandchild. He was educated in the Huntingdon County schools and pursued the occupation of farming during his lifetime. He was a member of the Marklesburg Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be held Saturday morning, August 28, at the Marklesburg Lutheran Church, the body being removed to the church at 10:30. The Rev. Jerome V. Goss will officiate. Interment will be made in the Stone Church Cemetery. John H. Riley of Marklesburg died at his home last evening, December 20, 1943, at 11 p.m., after an illness of about twelve days. He was born in Blair County on May 27, 1866, the son of Robert Riley and Elizabeth Holsinger Riley, both deceased. At time of death he was aged 77 years, 6 months and 23 days. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna M. Kyler Riley; one son, J. Wilmer Riley of James Creek; and one daughter Mrs. Grace Weller of Hesston. One sister, Mrs. Maggie Soyster of Roaring Spring and nine grandchildren also survive. Mr. Riley had been a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church for fifty years and had served as elder and trustee for many years. At the time of his death he was a member of the board of trustees. Mr. Riley was possessed of a kindly and friendly disposition which had won for him a host of friends. He was well known and well liked throughout Woodcock Valley and many will be saddened by his passing. Shontz passed away at his home in Pittsburgh on Monday, February 6, 1939. Death was due to a complication of diseases. He was born at Entriken on September 12, 1872 and was the son of George W. Shontz and Margaret (Clapper) Shontz, both deceased. At the time of death he was aged 66 years, 4 months and 24 days. His wife, Millie (Criswell) Shontz preceded him in death eight years ago. Surviving to mourn his passing are three sons and five daughters: Mrs. Nellie Gregory, Miss, Floy Shontz, of Erie, Miss Anna Shontz, Miss Birdie Shontz, Miss Evaline Shontz, Herman Shontz, Forrest Shontz and Lester Shontz, all of Pittsburgh. These brothers and sisters also survive: George Shontz, of Braddock, John Shontz, of Lewistown, Mrs. Margaret E. Garner, of Entriken, Mrs. Katherine Myers, of Shirleysburg. He was laid to rest beside his wife in a beautiful cemetery in Pittsburgh. Services were held at the Oakley funeral parlors. Jonas B. Shontz, aged 71 years, 1 month and 25 days, died at his home on Locke avenue, Yeagerstown, Monday morning at 8:50 o'clock after an illness of two weeks. The cause of the death was heart trouble. He was born at Entriken, Huntingdon county, March 8, 1863. He leaves four sons and one daughter: William H. Shontz, 624 South Main street, Lewistown; Walter H. Shontz, 110 South Main street, Yeagerstown; Charles F. Shontz, Mount Union; Frederick H. Shontz, New York, N.Y.; Mrs. Scott (Edna) Burke, Uniontown, Fayette county. Fifteen grandchildren are also living with two brothers and two sisters: George A. Shontz, Pittsburgh; John H. Shontz, 624 South Main street, Lewistown; Mrs. Mitchell Myers, Shirleysburg; Mrs. Margarite Garner, Entriken. He was a son of George N. and Mary E. Clapper Shontz, both deceased. His wives, whose maiden names were Misses Bertha May Walker and Rachel Boller, are both dead. He was an employee of the Standard Steel Works, Burnham, working in the boring mill. Mrs. Flora M. Shultz of Saxton, wife of Chester A. Shultz and operator of a floral shop in Saxton for the past 20 years, passed away at 12:50 o'clock this Thursday morning, Feb. 26, 1948, at her home. Mrs. Shultz was a faithful member of the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church of Saxton. For twenty years she served as secretary of that Sunday School and for a number of years was the secretary-treasurer of the church. In addition to the church offices she taught a class and was an active member of the Ladies Mite Society as long as her health permitted. She was an honorary menber of the Wesley Bible Class. She also belonged to the Rebekah Lodge in Saxton. She was born on October 15, 1880, in Marklesburg, the daughter of Caleb Weaver and Anna (Criswell) Weaver. On July 21, 1901, in Marklesburg she was united in marriage with Chester A. Shultz who survives to mourn her passing. Other survivers include one daughter, Mrs. Helen Chooanes of Saxton and these brothers and sisters: John Weaver of Saxton; Harvey and Ralph Weaver, both of Lewistown; Mrs. William H. Clapper, Mrs. Mary Hooper and Mrs. Zeffa Ramsey, all of Saxton; Mrs. Leroy Smith, Lewistown, and Mrs. George Loebig of Pittsburgh. Shultz, died at her home in Entriken at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 1945. She was born on March 15, 1870, the daughter of Anthony Parks and Nancy Showalter Parks. Her husband preceded her in death in 1930. She had lived in Entriken for nearly fifty years and had a host of friends there who will mourn her passing. She was a highly respected citizen and a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are a son and a daughter: Earl Steel, Entriken; and Mrs. Charles Davis, Lewistown R.D.3; also surviving are two grandsons in the service: Lt. Nelson J. Davis, serving in the air corps and stationed in Florida; and Pvt. Glenn J. Steel, with the First Army in Germany. Shultz highly respected citizen of Marklesburg, died yesterday, Wednesday July 11, 1945, at 5:00 p.m. at his residence, after a lengthy illness. He was born January 30, 1891, in Lincoln Township, Huntingdon County, the son of Martin L. Shultz and Dessa (Glassgo) Shultz. He was married to Bertha M. Donelson on June 15, 1912, in Huntingdon. Mr. Shultz is survived by his wife, two sons, Richard Shultz and Samuel Shultz, Jr., both of York; two brothers, Charles Shultz of Harrisburg, and Lee Shultz of Huntingdon; and two sisters, Mrs. Kifer Fouse of Marklesburg, and Mrs. John Coldren of New Cumberland. Also surviving are two granddaughters. Mr. Shultz was a man of integrity who enjoyed the admiration of the community where he lived. He was employed at the Pennsylvania Industrial School as a trade instructor for sixteen years and was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church at Marklesburg. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon, July 14, 1945, at 2:30 at the Methodist Church, Marklesburg with the Rev. Kenneth Gombert, assisted by the Rev. Charles Huyett, officiating. Smith of 1817 Seventh avenue, Altoona, died at his home Monday afternoon, Nov. 22, 1937, at 3 o'clock. Born in Marklesburg March 18, 1902, he was a son of Henry and Martha Smith. Mr. Smith was a salesman for the Lauver Motor Company in Hollidaysburg. Members of the family include his wife, Mrs. Mary (O'Leary) Smith, his mother, Mrs. Martha Martin, three brothers, Raymond Smith of Cross Keys, Allen of Buffalo and Jesse of Cleveland and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Hooper of Altoona, and Mrs. Caroline Yeck of Philadelphia. Mr. Smith was of the Methodist faith. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. H.W. Glassco of the Fifty-eigth Street Methodist Church, Altoona, at the Stevens Memorial chapel in that city Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock, interment following in Fairview Cemetery. Clarence E. Snare, of Aitch, died at his late home on Tuesday, July 3, 1945, at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 2 days. He was born at Aitch, March 31, 1878, a son of William Snare and Margaret (Garner) Snare, both deceased, and throughout his life he followed farming as an occupation. Mr. Snare was a member of the Lutheran Church at Marklesburg, and was one of the community's most highly respected citizens. He was widely known and his quiet and friendly disposition won for him a legion of friends and associates. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Grove) Snare and two daughters and one son: Mrs. A.S. Houck, of Bellefonte; Mrs. Mildred Harris, of Aitch, and Merle Snare, of Aitch. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Ada Fouse, of James Creek. Frank Snare of Aitch R.D. died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Grove, Aitch R.D. at 1 p.m. yesterday, April 11, 1946. He was ninety years old. Born in Newburg, Huntingdon County, on September 15, 1855, Mr. Snare was the son of Nathan and Elizabeth (Trough) Snare. He was united in marriage with Mary Jane Beaver of Marklesburg on March 7, 1878 by the Rev. Matthew Boyer. Mr. Snare leaves three daughters: Mrs. Bertha Liveringhouse and Mrs. Annie Lynn, both of Marklesburg, R.D., and Mrs. Flora Grove, Aitch R.D., at whose home he died. There are eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. After being educated in the Penn Township schools, Mr. Snare became a stone mason. He then engaged in farming until he retired. He was a member of the Marklesburg Lutheran Church. The Rev. Harold Knoll will be in charge of the funeral service Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in the Marklesburg Lutheran Church. Interment will be made in the Reformed Cemetery at Marklesburg. Guy Snare died very suddenly, yesterday afternoon, at his home at 2234 N. 2nd street, Harrisburg, death being due to a heart attack. The deceased was born in McConnellstown on September 15, 1885. Both parents and one brother, William, died a number of years ago. Mr. Snare was a foreman at the Enola yards at Harrisburg and was employed by the railroad company for twenty-seven years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Fleck Snare, of Harrisburg and two daughters, Mrs. Miles Gassvey, of Harrisburg, Miss Matilda Snare, of Philadelphia and one step-son, Marshall Yocum, of Reading. He was a member of the M.E. church and also a member of the Tyrone Lodge F.& A.M., the Harrisburg Consistory and Zembo Temple. The body will be brought to Huntingdon on Friday on the 1:28 train. Services will be held at the M.E. church at McConnellstown on Friday at 2:30 o'clock. Brown's funeral service. Funeral services for Thomas J. Stone, prominent Lincoln township farmer who died on Tuesday forenoon, July 27, 1948, will be held on Friday afternoon, July 30, at 2 o'clock. Mr. Stone died suddenly of a heart attack at his home at 8:45 o'clock before medical aid could be summoned. Born at Houtzdale, Pa., August 9, 1880, he was the son of Michael and Jane (Henderson) Stone. In his early years he worked in the steel mills in the western part of the state, and about 30 years ago he came to Huntingdon County where he engaged in farming. He has since followed that occupation. He was united in marriage to Grace Fouse on March 14, 1906, in the Reformed church parsonage at Alexandria by the Rev. Howard O'Boyd. Besides his wife he is survived by the following children: Violet (Mrs. Carl Clapper) and Catherine (Mrs. W.H. Shultz), both of Aitch; Geraldine (Mrs. George Luse), of Huntingdon; Thomas J. Stone, Jr., of Everett; Dorothy (Mrs. Cecil Morningstar), of Entriken, and Harold Stone, at home. He is survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sister: Ira J. Stone of Sebastapol, Cal., G.C. Stone, of Petaluma, Cal., and Mrs. S.L. Beaver, of McConnellstown. Mr. Stone was active in church and community affairs. He was a consistent member of the St. Matthews Evangelical and Reformed church of Entriken; he served as elder in the church for 25 years and was Sunday school superintendent for 4 years. He served his township one term as tax collector and one term as road supervisor. He was also a member of the Huntingdon County Agricultural Conservation Association, a director of the Huntingdon county fair, a member of the Huntingdon Consumers Cooperative Association and president of the Consumers Realty Corporation; the Huntingdon County Agricultural Association and of Lincoln Grange. For eight years he was a director of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Federation at Harrisburg. He was a leader in the Inter-State Milk producers Cooperative in his local district and also in the county. Mr. Stone was widely known throughout the area. He was a leader in any movement to bring the rural and urban citizens closer together and his achievements in this movement were most successful. He was a fine Christian gentleman, and his passing so suddenly is a distinct shock to his family, his relatives and his acquaintances. Ira Reed Stapleton, resident of Cold Springs Road, Oneida township, died in the J.C. Blair Hospital yesterday, May 26, 1946, at 4:30 a.m. He was admitted to the hospital on Thursday. The son of James and Gertrude (Saylor) Stapleton, he was born in Trough Creek Valley on March 12, 1905. He was united in marriage with Elma Ruth Brown on October 19, 1928, in Huntingdon by the Rev. O.B. Poulson. Besides his wife and his parents, five brothers and two sisters survive: Robert Clair Stapleton, Mount Union; Mrs. Henry Herbster, Huntingdon R.F.D.; Mrs. Herman Robb and George, Roy, Paul and Carl Stapleton, all of McConnellstown. Mr. Stapleton was a member of the McConnellstown Methodist Church. The Rev. O.B. Poulson will conduct the funeral service in the McConnellstown Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. States, died at her home in McConnellstown at 3:30 Sunday afternoon, February 20, 1944. She was born in Penn Township, Huntingdon County, on March 30, 1878, the daughter of Henry F. Peightal and Elizabeth Bowers Peightal, both of whom are deceased. At time of death she was aged 65 years, 10 months and 20 days. On October 1, 1889, in Huntingdon County, Florence Elizabeth Peightal and Dorsey F. States were united in marriage in a ceremony performed by the Rev. M.L. Smith. Mrs States had made her home in McConnellstown for a number of years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are her husband and three daughters: Mrs. Floyd Green, Huntingdon R.D.; Mrs. Robert Bollinger, McConnellstown; and Mrs. Chester Mort, Huntingdon. Also surviving are three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Bertha Schum and Mrs. Blanche Harder, both of Huntingdon; Mrs. William McKelvey, New York City; Harvey Peightal, Springville, Vt., and Pearl Peightal of Colorado. Mrs. Martha (Megahan) Strong passed away at her late home in McConnellstown, Huntingdon County, on Monday morning, December 14, 1936, at 12:01 o'clock. On November 18, Mrs. Strong had the misfortune to fall and break her hip. It is thought that this injury was indirectly responsible for her death. She was born at Alexandria, Pa., on July 8, 1846, a daughter of Amos and Elizabeth (Saner) Megahan, both deceased. At the time of death Mrs. Strong was aged 90 years, 5 months and 7 days. Mrs. Strong had been a resident of McConnellstown almost all her entire life, having come to that town at the age of four years with her parents. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church having professed her faith at the age of seventeen. Mrs. Strong always exemplified the true Christian life. She lived a life of usefulness that will long be remembered by all who knew and lived her. She had been a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal church. On May 6, 1867 she was united in marriage with the late James Strong, a Civil War veteran. To this union three children were born all of whom preceded her in death a number of years ago. She leaves to mourn her passing three grandchildren: Mrs. Esther Greene, of Huntingdon R.D.,James Strong, of McConnellstown, and Margaret Strong of Wilkinsburg. One great grandchild, Carrie Lou Greene, and one brother, Alonza Megahan, of Altoona, also survive. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Episcopal church at McConnellstown on Wednesday afternoon December 16, 1936 at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the McConnellstown cemetery at McConnellstown. David Pershing Tonkovich, infant son of John and Martha (Parks) Tonkovich of McConnellstown, died in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital on Tuesday morning, August 3, 1948. He was born at the hospital on Friday, July 30, 1948. His survivors include his parents and one brother, Johnnie, at home. Services were held at the McConnellstown Cemetery this Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Marion Smith of the McConnellstown Evangelical and Reformed Church in charge. Interment was conducted by Green's funeral service. Patricia Lou Trout, daughter of James and Ruth (Cresswell) Trout, died this Saturday morning, May 29, 1948 at 9:30 o'clock at the home of her parents at 325 Penn Street. She was born October 24, 1946 in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her parents, a twin sister, Dorothy Ann, and her grandparents, Mrs. Anna Trout of Baltimore and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Cresswell, of 1503 Penn Street, Huntingdon. Mrs. Elda Mabel Thompson, wife of Harold Thompson of Alexandria R.D., died in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 1945. She was born in Penn Township, Huntingdon County, on April 27, 1912, the daughter of Solomon and Elizabeth Corcelius Norris. On November 18, 1933, she was united in marriage to Harold Thompson at the home of the Rev. Irvin Brumbaugh, Brumbaugh Crossing. Her husband and her parents survive as do these brothers and sisters: Miles Norris, Huntingdon R.D.; Charles Norris and Thomas Norris, both of Huntingdon; Mrs. Carl Norris, Huntingdon R.D.; Mrs. Blanche Fisher, Hesston R.D.; Dehaven Norris, Hesston; Mrs. Carrie Rhodes, Trough Creek. She was educated in the public schools of Penn Township and was a member of the White church (Evangelical and Reformed), Hesston Ridge. The body will be at the home of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. solomon Norris, Hesston, after 2:30 on Saturday, the Rev. Hobart D. McKeehan, assisted by the Rev. Charles Link, officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Bechtel funeral service, Williamsburg. John Addison Waite died at his late home in Brumbaugh Crossing, on Friday morning, October 11, 1935, at 5:15 o'clock. Mr. Waite had been in failing health for the past few years. Death was due to a cerebral embolism. He was a son of Samuel and Anna (Carson) Waite, both deceased amd was born in Petersburg, on April 14, 1877. At the time of death, Mr. Waite was aged 58 years, 5 months and 27 days. Mr. Waite was a member of the Lutheran Church at Marklesburg, a kind father and a devoted husband. Surviving besides his wife Lettie J. Waite, are two daughters and one son, Mrs. David Young, of Altoona, Mrs. Carl Hoover, of Hesston, L.B. Waite, of Harrisburg. Two sisters, Mrs. John Kyper, of Centre Union and Mrs. Harry Thompson, of South Huntingdon, also survive. Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran church in Marklesburg, on Monday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. Dr. A.B. van Ormer, pastor, officiating. Interment will be made in the Old Stone Church cemetery. Mrs. Margaret D. Weaver of Cherrytown, wife of Jacob Raymond Weaver, passed away at 4:30 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, April 10, 1948, at her home. She was born on November 7, 1893, in Hopewell Township, Huntingdon county, a daughter of Leonard W. Treece and Joan (Fisher) Treece, both deceased. On June 19, 1935, in the Methodist Church at Cherrytown she was united in marriage with Jacob R. Weaver, who survives to mourn her passing. Other survivors include three brothers and two sisters: Carl and William Treece of Cherrytown; David Treece of Philadelphia; Mrs. Walter Glasgow and Mrs. Russell Kidd, both of Mount Union. Mrs. Weaver was a highly respected resident of Cherrytown. She was a faithful and active member of the Cherrytown Methodist Church and taught a Sunday school class. She was also a member of the church choir. The funeral service will be held at the Cherrytown Methodist Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. E.Z. Utts of Bellwood, the Rev. Edward Hayes of Saxton and the Rev. Richard Reed of Marklesburg will officiate. Burial will be made in the Methodist Cemetery at Cherrytown. Friends may call at the Weaver residence. The funeral service for John Weidner of Penn township who passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 1944, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Thomas Kyper, 502 Pennsylvania Avenue, Huntingdon, will be held at the Kyper home at 2 p.m. on Friday. The Rev. Mr. Roberts pastor of the Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Interment will be made in the White Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kyper home after 5 p.m. Thursday. He was born on October 12, 1868, in Penn Township, the son of Sarah Fisher Weidner and Jacob Weidner. At the time of death he was aged 74 years, 4 months and 3 days. Mr. Weidner was unmarried. These sisters survive: Catherine, Mrs. Emanuel Norris; Sadie, Mrs. Joseph Brown; Hannah, Mrs. Philip Norris; Matilda, Mrs. Thomas Kyper. One brother and two sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a farmer by trade. Charles N. Wonderly of Hummel R.D. passed away in the J.C. Blair Hospital on Sunday morning, January 9, 1949. He was born in Hopewell Township, Huntingdon County, on August 22, 1880, a son of Samuel and Lydia (Stone) Wonderly. He married Anna Peters on September 10, 1903. Mrs. Wonderly and the following children survive to mourn his passing: Arthur of Delton, Michigan; Mrs. Emil Ludenman of Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Jack Myer, Darlington, Wisconsin, and John Wonderly of Chicago, Illinoise. Two sisters also survive: Mrs. Mary Guthridge and Mrs. Susan French, both of Bridgeport, Connecticut. The funeral service will be held at two o'clock on Tuesday afternoon in Huff's funeral chapel, Saxton. The Rev. Roscoe Ebersole will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Amon Siple. Burial will be made in the Methodist Cemetery at Cherrytown. Friends may call at the funeral chapel.
